Thanks so much for all the input!(: I always love hearing about the inside process and just little stories behind the writing or recording ideas. I love that that’s how to the beat was thought of 😂 they all killed it too. Good lil boy definitely surprised me. There was so much going on that in the moment just looking at it you would think it wouldn’t work or not sound right but it was so well put together and I think really combined all the tones of every other song into it too. I will always commend especially Hongjoong on his writing and just musically inclined brain haha. Yeah I had a feeling that it was around that time and that’s more of what the song was written for and I absolutely love that. You don’t get a lot of artists that would put in that sentiment and just effort to reach out to especially international fans just for the reassurance that they really do care and it’s what makes them so special and sincere. I just absolutely loved this album.

The chorus going into Mingi’s verse, the bridge, how there are elements in that shouldn’t work but do??! Literally chefs kiss.

Can’t wait to watch tonight 😁 Edit: So I didn't end up having time to watch last night but watching now and remembered a story about how To The Beat was created! Ateez used to have a morning radio show and in one of the episodes, they had a rap battle (which was hilarious btw). Edeb abd Hongjoong were so surprised by how good everyone was so they made this song so everyone could have a rapper moment hahaha Edit 2: Good Lil Boy is such an underappreciated song to me! It's so much fun! I hope you can check out some live stages of it because the choreo is really fun too. Hongjoong wrote this song on their living room couch when he was bored looool Edit 3: One Day At A Time was definitely a song for Atinys during the pandemic. This allbum was recorded around the time they had to postpone their 2020 tour, they even recorded some of it in Madrid when they were stuck there after flying there to start their concert and then it being cancelled. I remember Hongjoong saying somewhere that they wanted it to be in English so that everyone would be able to understand their message right away as soon as they heard it.

Honestly I feel that, so proud of the hard work and genuine care that they put in and happy when they get the recognition that they deserve.

2023-01-26 04:38:30 +0000 UTCThis is hands down my favorite ateez album, if you have time to kill you should watch the live stages of both fever and good lil boy (Hongjoong song) you’ll have so much fun i tell you!no need for reaction if you don’t feel like it and really what’s an ateez album if u don’t cry? After all this time i still get emotional at Hongjoong’s rap in my way, That little sentence where he said “i hope you congratulate us today on our first step” gets all up my feels like wtf actually lol 🥹 i just feel so proud of them ❤️
