DATSUN 2000 SPORTS :

Enhancements and Improvements (from the original Overtake/RaceDepartment Model)

·         It looks like the Australian model now, instead of the Japanese version. My re-modelling is based on my neighbours actual 1968 car.

·         Entire front end, including bonnet, bodywork, headlights, headlight surrounds, badges fixed, to give it correct appearance. (Original model looked more like a 240Z!!!)

·         Split windscreen removed. Windscreen wipers moved to correct positions, and animation fixed. Rear vision mirror re-located to correct position. Side mirrors added to correct positions.

·         Front fender indicators removed. Reversing light added. Optional spotlights & covers added. All indicator lights now work correctly.

·         Radio aerial added. Steering wheel replaced with a spoked version.

·         Wheels replaced with Minilite look-alike spoked wheels, “Performance” brand. Steel wheels optional.

·         Optional overriders added to bumper bars.

·         Datsun 2000 badges replace the original Fairlady badges.

·         THREE roof options – Soft-top, Hard-top or Roof-down. Doors open, as in original model, but now work with Extra_A and B key bindings (Alt-7 and Alt-8 keystrokes).

·         Number plates replaced with correct Australian size plates.

·         Physics completely re-made by Glenn, to fix serious handling faults.

·         Sound replaced, giving a more performance-oriented growl, instead of the “wet lettuce” original sound.

·         Brake discs now glow.

·         Driver and cockpit view settings changed (F1 and F6 keys).

·         Multiple driver options.

·         A competition skin, modelled on a local Targa car, has been added, featuring  optional rollcage, windscreen banner, passenger (navigator), fire extinguisher, removable window option, side mouldings removed option, optional additional left side mirror, optional removable wheel caps, towing strap.
