100 HEADS CHALLENGE: 40-55 💖

I’m continuing the 100 Heads Challenge 🙌🏼
IT’S DIFFICULT BECAUSE:
🍋 I’m not happy with about half of these sketches
🍋 I’m trying to be much faster (about 10-15 min per sketch)
🍋 I’m using many various media, not just a pencil
🍋 I’m experimenting a lot to feel more comfortable with unusual colors so the spread isn’t very harmonious
🍋 I’m experimenting with stylization of the faces which I find difficult in traditional art
🍋 The paper of this sketchbook has a blue tinge which makes it difficult to take good photos
IT’S FUN BECAUSE:
🍓 I love some of these sketches - especially 48 and 54
🍓 I’m really getting faster and feel that I’m learning a lot
🍓 I’m proud of myself because I keep trying despite some failures (so it’s still a success)
🍓 I bought some new, amazing media: Holbein pastel colored pencils, tiny synthetic squirrel brush from Roman Szmal and Ecoline - liquid watercolors
🍓 I feel such an artistic freedom to just sit and have fun like a toddler with crayons and a white wall
🍓 I feel that I’m finding my favorite color palettes here

2022-02-22 20:46:22 +0000 UTCThank you! 🥰 They’re awesome - their softness is somewhere between Polychromos and Prisma. Colors are amazing but they’re SUPER DUPER EXPENSIVE! I bought them with a discount but it’s still a lot 😅
