Important update regarding my sheet music!

~ Only read if you care about my sheet music, nothing will change regarding my audio/midi files! ~

A few weeks ago Musicnotes (a huge sheet music webshop) reached out to me, saying they would like to strike a deal with me. For me, this would mean selling my works legally on their platform instead of sharing them myself for free. I was skeptical at first, but gave their offer a good thought and made sure to weigh the pros and cons:

- I've always loved giving my sheets away for free, but at the same time it has been stressing me out, since I'm providing sheets illegally and sooner or later a copyright strike is inevitable. This could lead to some serious problems and puts my future career at risk.

- Besides, I'd really like to make music my actual job one day. I've come to realize that, in order to achieve this, I can't just give away my time and work for free. This worked in the past since I was still developing my skills, but it's time for me to find a new balance so I can grow my profession.

- The last thing about this partnership that appeals to me is that I'd be able to join a community full of passionate arrangers and musicians. The people I look up to, like Kyle Landry and Rousseau, are all part of this Musicnotes community. Not just the arrangers, but also the people that work at Musicnotes in general are some amazing people that genuinly respect creators like me.

The one and only con would obviously be that you'd have to pay for each and every arrangement of mine. Considering the above however, I'm sure you'd understand. Each and every penny you pay would go to the hardworking people that provide you with the music you're buying (not just me, but also the original composers and copyrightholders, and the people at Musicnotes that keep the system running). Your money directly supports the people that deserve it.

As you probably could have guessed I took the deal! For the forseeable future I'll be selling my arrangements exclusively at Musicnotes.com (including my older ones). It'll take some time transferring my older works from my own website to Musicnotes however, so a lot of those will still be free for a short period. Please keep my arrangements to yourself and refrain from spreading them, since Musicnotes and I won't hesitate to take legal action. When my arrangements go live on Musicnotes, I will reward you with monthly discount codes, since you're my patron!

I hope you understand! Nothing about me or my work will change, so stay tuned for some beautiful arrangements in the future! 

PS: my Witcher 3 arrangements will remain free for an unspecified amount of time, since Musicnotes has not yet been able to buy the rights from CD Projekt Red. Furthermore, my audio & midi file system won't be affected. I will still share those with my patrons!
