So i have been spending the past 2 days experimenting with 3D printing my sculpture!
It began with testing printing the head first which came out a complete success! at its size and resolution I was very happy with the result!
With the head coming out absolutely fine - I decided to give the body a test print! Now to speed things up I would print for the thigh upwards at as large a single piece as i could print! This would be smaller in ratio to the single head i printed but it would be good as a test! this would take about 16 hours to print!
It came out a disaster but in all things considered a lot better than i had hoped! Unfortunately the penis was so big it collapsed in on itself!
It simply does not feel possible and practical to print this model as one piece! Too much can go wrong. As a result i'm going back into the model to make it easier to split into multiple pieces!
I'm going to give the model arm/bicep bands and a chest harness to give myself a break in the skin so that these points can be used as seams for separating the model in pieces!
I'm currently working on the harness so hopefully I can finish this tonight and start a print over the weekend!

I'm hoping to have time to squeeze in another 5050 next week and then of course theres Best of Lens March Edition!
