Okay so its time to spray paint this sculpture and see how it goes. Now My BF paints Games Workshops figures as a hobby (NERRRRRRRD) So I'm roping him into this part of the project for his expertise!

I decided to try the paint job on the smaller model first. since if anything goes wrong it will be easier to print another model in one go!

This smaller model is actually really well made in that even for its size it holds a lot of detail! However as with all the models that are 3D printed it requires supports to printed. where these connect to the model a bit of manual labour is needed to file down imperfections created by the support connectors. Currently this is done by hand but I'm hoping to purchase a "Dremel" set which should give me much better results!

Whilst the spraying process is fairly simple - this is only the bast skin tone. I'll still need to figure out how to add tonal skin variations, hair and eyes. Now we've tired using Warhammer style painting techniques before and the finish just wasn't suitable for the quality i wanted so I think I'm going to have to research a bit more to figure this one out. I'll need to follow how Japanese Anime and Manga model painters do it - which neither me our my BF understand how its done.

So far so good! And I'm super happy with how this is coming out! Hopefully In another month of tests I'll be able to look into how to make this into merchandise!
More to come real soon!
