Controlling Color in Photography is extremely hard! thats because so many factors come to play! There's obviously the lights that you have to control ; the hue/colour/temperature, the brightness, the direction, how focused it is - all these things you can control and takes time.

But then there are some things that are much harder or even beyond your control - such as bounce light or ambience, day light (if you use it), how your skin reflects the light.
For this shoot i decided to try with 2 colored lights cycling random colors. Some combinations worked really well whilst others were ok. I found that when the room was pitch black the colored lights were too over powering. images looked like they were filter with just colored overlays.

What I found helped quite a lot was allowing some natural daylight through to get some of those human skin tones captured. Its a fine balance but the weather has been a bit on and off recently so the quality of the shoot changed a little.
My Favorite shot has to be this one:

The Yellow and the Blue contrast really well - it almost looked like a video game where a character opens a treasure chest!
