BLOG : SEPTEMBER WEEK 02 - THIS WEEK I'M A PIG

How was everybody's weekend? I had a wonderful weekend on another boat! Yes that's how the locals like to roll in Hong Kong (or so I've learnt).

Boat Parties are one of my favorite things to do in the summer! They're amazing before you get your own private space with your friends, there's sun and sea and if that's not enough for you then there's also plenty of food, drinks and music!

But what i really like are the sunsets! That small moment during Golden Hour when lighting just becomes amazing and you get all these wonderful colors in the sky! 

Give it a try next time (weather permitting) - and see what pictures you can get, using the natural lighting!

IN OTHER NEWS 

So I've been waiting for a Dremel drill ordered from amazon to help me with my sculptures! Manually filing and polishing just isn't efficient, and leaves more scratches than anything else!

I was mega happy until I turned on the drill, heard and felt the largest bang and pop, following by the drill no longer being able to turn on! .... I checked the power and everything to make sure everything was compatible (which is was). So I'm guessing there must  be some kind of manufacturing fault!

Which is sooooo annoying so now not only do i have to send it back! I also had to rush out today to see if i can find something locally! I ended up finding these made in China hobby drills which (whilst probably have zero health and safety standards test) look fine and seem to be able to do what i need it to do - at a fraction of the cost!

A quick test seem to suggest that this will work fine for what i need! So I should be able to continue on this week with my sculpture!

The thing is that today was a scorcher temperature wise! It was so incredibly stuffy and hot. Breathing through a respirator at 32C is not advised .... 

Other than that so far so good! Also my back is healing up pretty well so there will be another 5050 this week! (believe me when i say you did not want to see my scabby back last week in any kind of photography ... maybe some kind of medical journal ... but still.
