Ancestor veneration includes dressing up in my UPG. I did this in the spring while performing my Mom's funerary rite and on holidays. Though the holidays look a bit different of course. Essentially it's the same.

2025-10-29 16:18:14 +0000 UTCOct 6th was when the new year was conceived...so it grows until "birth" in spring. makes sense also with the concept of the new day starting at the end of the old day, sundown. likewise harvest is the end of the old year so it's also when the new year begins.
