Yo Goomba, where's the video?

Gather round everyone, cos I have a story to tell.

The truth is, I've been sat on my next video like 90% completed for 20+ days now...just sitting there...wasting time.

Why is this? Well, I'm just gonna have a rant. Please don't contact or ask who this person is. I'm just venting my frustrations. So if I come off as a dick, please try to understand why I'm so annoyed.

So, in order to get the video done quickly, the plan was...I paid someone to voice Bowser. Since he was planned to be in 3 videos I thought it'll be easier. He only appears at the end of the current video shortly so it'll be quick...get the video done. Sorted.

So I got someone, I was paying over £100 for the full set of videos. I didn't HAVE to pay. I just offered as some incentive to get it done. Almost a month later...it's not been done.

I've asked time and time again..."can I please have the lines today". Followed by "ok"... followed by silence and an excuse/reason they couldn't do it. I tried to be understanding a patient but tbh, it was stressing me the fuuuuuck out.

Watching my channel die due to lack of upload, and just sat waiting like an idiot for a handful of lines which I paid for. From someone who is trying to be a professional VA. Gah, it pissed me off tbh.

Seemed like endless reasons for not doing the lines...but I figure, I've already paid...I'll just wait it out. It'll be easier than asking someone else and getting money back and all that fuss. And I thought, someone else could take just as long and I'll be back at step 1.

Flash forward last night... I get a message. Which has tipped me over the edge. He says that he can't do it for the first video, but can for the other 2. And he says I should voice Bowser...and then in the next video, his voice just magically changes and he voices him. 

At this point, I've had enough. (well I had enough about 10 days ago but that just pushes me over the edge tbh). So I just have to say politely, that I'm pulling out and someone else is voicing Bowser. I don't wanna cause a scene or anything cos... I mean, I do like the guy. I don't HATE him, he's just let me down is all so I still want a friendly relationship with him in some way.

But end of the day, this is what I paid for. He still has the money btw, gonna have to try to get it back. So, I quickly find someone else to do the lines, TODAY. I offer him £100 for the whole 3 videos...and guess what? He does them the same day, immediately.

So, he doesn't know all the crap I just went through but, Guru Larry is a fucking SAINT and I love him for coming through for me. A true professional. And the sad thing is...he was my original choice. I just felt awkward asking him since we haven't talked for a long time and didn't wanna just come out from the blue and ask for some lines. If only I had asked him first, none of this would have happened.

BUT THATS NOT ALL.

See, during the wait for the lines, I decide to do a mini video of a 3DS game. "Bowsers Minions", a little side game that came out recently in which you play as a Goomba. Would make sense to do a video on right?

So I ask on Twitter if anyone would be willing to share / record footage for me? Some random guy who doesn't follow me, nor has he ever heard/seen my videos shows up and offers.

I say cool, we agree to do it. He asks if he can have a cameo.  Since he's helping, I say he can have a small cameo in the video. A voice or something like that.

He agrees. The game comes closure to releasing... and red flags start to come up. He starts talking about his "cameo roll". It quickly changes from a cameo to a significant role.

A few days pass, now hes sending huge messages in detail about his role. The cameo has now become a full sized collaboration I never agreed too.  

At this point, I realized this guy is just using me as a tool to get some exposure and promotion. He's just brute forced and pressured me into doing something I didn't agree with. I just wanted footage, not an in-depth collaboration video with a significant role.

So yet again, I'm in a position in which I have to just to blunt and honest with him... kind of. I say I'm no longer doing to do that video and that I'm sorry for getting his hopes up.

Then he tries to bloody guilt trip me. God damn. That guy was so annoying. It reminded me of that Star Wars scene. " I am altering the deal .Pray I don’t alter it any further ".

So yeah, that video also fell through. So... it's just been a fucking mess of a few weeks. And to top it off, during this time my channel has absolutely DIED. Ad revenue is below $100. (that's insanely low).

So, I am 100% relying on Patreon now. I shall do a Patreon video after the next video. At this point, I might as well just bleedin turn ad revenue off and just put a lot more commitment into Patreon tbh.
