Update and what the hell is going on.

Well, atleast you know why I changed it from monthly to per creation. Didn't want people getting charged for nothing. Also thanks a ton for those who stuck around during this shitty time. I guess I sorta feel bad and bury my head in the sand when I can't create videos rather than addressing the issue to you guys.

Sorry for the hiatus. I did fully intend on doing videos but, been editing videos for other channels and it's been eating up all my time.

And honestly, I had lost my passion for youtube and Lonely Goomba. I think it showed. Also, it's impossible to edit full time AND do Lonely Goomba like I originally thought.

So, the solution to this? I've decided I'm gonna stop editing for people other than the Game Theorist channel (which takes the least time and has the best pay tbh). Granted, I can't just throw them under the bus and stop editing all at once so, will give a months notice so they can get another editor.

I've also decided to just scrap the story aspect. I know it ended on a cliff hanger, I know it'll upset a few people. So I guess I will post the intended story sometime but, I just don't wanna do it anymore. It took way too much time, it lost the concept of the show, and relying on other voice actors was frustrating to say the least.

I'm gonna be returning to an animation style similar to the previous style. That way I can re-hire the person I got to help with the lipsyncing (the later style was too hard to animate) which helped speed up editing a ton.

It's pretty much gonna be a full on reboot. From the start. Goomba in the pipes, playing games. In order to stay relevant and to have freedom, it'll just be any games, modern or old. Whatever I feel like talking about. Consider it a reset button for the series. 

Again, I know it'll upset some people, but I think for the sake getting new fans and building the audience, it'll help. Having the videos linked together just made it hard for new people to get in.

I know I talk about coming back to YT a lot on twitter and stuff, but I mean it this time. And I will be using this time and the Patreon funds to good use. I'm planning on getting a professional background artist to draw the pipe settings which might look pretty cool.

So yeah, the fact of the matter is, after like 4-5 years of doing Lonely Goomba non-stop. I was feckin burnt out man. And when Youtube started demonetizing me, was kinda the final nail in the coffin and I just needed a break. I probably shoulda done a patreon video before I was burnt out, cos I got a load of support afterwards but still wasn't keen on making Goomba videos. (I was hoping it'll motivate me to push through at the time).

So yeah, that's what's going on. If you still wanna support me, please stick around. But if you're tired of waiting, I'll understand. I've learnt a shit ton of stuff about video editing during this time and what I want to do with Lonely Goomba so it wasn't entirely wasted time. I've just been mentally preparing myself for getting back in Youtube for a while now.
