2024-03-17 01:37:38 +0000 UTCI had a 1961 Dodge postal van that had an emergency brake on the drive shaft similar to that one. Once it goes out of adjustment (through wear) the driver would sometimes start driving with the emergency brake left on. It’s not like I would ever do something lame like that!

2024-03-16 17:29:07 +0000 UTCChasing threads is nerve-wracking. Doing it without numerical controls to allow a person to "zero" things out, even more so. You made it look easy, almost deceptively so. The parts situation is nuts, too. I need a clockspring for my '22 Escape, those are in short supply. Even more complicated is when the "Trim Level" matters as to which part is the "right" part (even when used across several Models).

2024-03-16 16:38:44 +0000 UTCI've never worked on one of those but I've seen a few on motorhomes and such. They seem like a great idea on a long vehicle like that so you arent running cables for miles to the rear end but I had no idea they were that complicated. Nice work to save that guys bacon.
