I created the dub mix because I thought the track could be useful to DJs without all the energy from the main lead. Also it gave the orchestral parts a chance to shine. Glad you like it! It's definitely not something you should *always* do (if I said that I apologize!) In fact, I've actually stopped using that plugin as much because I was sometimes noticing weird phase issues and artifacts I didn't want. Generally speaking though the concept of trying to make sure each note is hitting equally in the sub region on a sustained bass pattern is reasonable, however you achieve it. With many synths there shouldn't be an issue at all unless there's a lot of modulation or the velocities of each note aren't equal. With analog gear it can be harder to get notes perfectly even with each other if you're playing off a keyboard; some DIVA patches and other analog-modelled VSTs as well. So the Ozone plugin was more of a band-aid than anything else. But as a rule, you never *always* do anything, its gotta be a response to a problem you're hearing

Regarding this walkthrough, the compression you did on the sub frequency of the bass using Ozone is something we should do always(!) on basses?
