Hey Everyone,
So I've got my new laptop up and running and finally CPU is no longer an issue! I can screen record while I produce without too much latency...I did run into some random issues and had to pause and fix a couple times BUT I was able to record a raw, from-scratch studio session. I know a few of you expressed interest in watching what my process is like so let's see if this delivers on that haha. There's no voiceover, though there's a little window of me on the side.
After about an hour I hit a good stopping point, and while I wasn't honestly feeling very inspired that evening, I do think there's some usable bits in the demo that I may try to flesh out (and record the process). When I'm not inspired, I'm often just trial-and-erroring sounds and ideas until something clicks.
Feel free to ask any questions in the comments and I'll try to answer them as best I can. And definitely let me know if this is interesting/helpful content or if it's not that helpful without voiceover...my main concern with the VO is having to use headphones (not as fun to start projects imo) and just having to explain what I'm doing will probably take me out of the zone.
I'm open to your thoughts now that I have the CPU power to actually record/stream sessions. I think I could also open up existing projects to show how I approach the middle part of the process or the final mixdown, etc. rather than just starting from scratch.
Michael
