Hey Producers,
I've been recording some of my starting-from-scratch studio sessions for the Producer II/Protege tiers, but don't wanna leave you guys totally out of the loop! Similar to the walkthroughs, I'll be posting snippets of these sessions that focus on specific techniques and parts of my process.
Here, I started writing a chill, piano based track and was looking to add a vocal texture. I mess around with an acapella trying to make a hook for the song. I definitely think I got a great texture and there's plenty of potential here, but I may end up spending a bunch of time later on fine tuning and really extracting a true hook out all of the little bits--right now it's nice but not quite catchy enough and likely too obviously reversed.
Hopefully this can inspire you to get creative with vocals as well...there are no rules!
