Quick Note on Studio Feed Videos + a Humble Ask of You

Hey Everyone,

So someone asked me about the Studio Feed videos and why there aren't always voiceovers so I wanted to clear that up with you guys. For me (and probably most people), having to explain what you're doing really can slow you down and immediately take you out of the "flow" headspace. The whole idea of flow is not questioning anything you're doing and letting second nature / the muse (or whatever you want to call it) just take over the controls.

So sometimes when what I'm doing isn't super creative or just more standard (like starting an arrangement) it's a bit easier for me to voiceover. But if I really see some real potential in track, I  don't want to hold it back by focusing more on creating a teaching experience rather than finishing the song. Priorities! That said, I hope the fly-on-the-wall opportunity is still super valuable to you.

With that said I wanted to make a suggestion/request: If you happen to be watching these Studio Feed videos (or any video for that matter) and want to post specific timestamps in the comments for parts that you found super useful, I'm sure everyone would appreciate that. And if everyone does it, it would improve the experience and value exponentially.

Even if I was to go back and watch every video (which would be kinda cringey on its own) I can't accurately assume what would be most valuable or useful to all of you...it consistently surprises me what things each of you takes home from these videos, and it's certainly varied among everyone. But if we collaborate here and share your favorite insights from these videos, it'll will surely make each one that much more valuable for everyone.

Some of you already do this but I just wanted to call it out because it's hopefully not too much effort to just list a couple timestamps in the comments, even if you don't want to explain why you chose them, it's probably still better than nothing! Or just mention some takeaways you had from the videos without any timestamps. Overall this is just a thought to try to effectively crowd-source more value out of each video.

I am going to try to voice-over more though or at least start/end with voiceovers to give more of an overview at a minimum...but please keep in mind I'm trying to balance the (unusual) amount I'm sharing with maintaining my creativity and productivity.

Thanks!
