Studio Feed #4 Pt 2

In between the two videos I tested out a little concept to have there be a stripped down bass solo section in the arrangement. I started the video after cutting away the other bits there and then start to enhance the transition around that moment to make it more special.
From there I'm just going through making ad-hoc adjustments all over, fine-tuning things, making mix enhancements, etc. At around 1:05:00 I add a new harmony synth element that plays off the existing pads (rather than just layering another element following the same progression).
Overall this one's just a genuine peek on my process when still early on in a song's progress--it's a pretty random combo of mixing, arrangement, enhancing, etc. I can't promise you it's the best way to work, but the stream-of-consciousness style works for me. I cut the video because I had to let a contractor into my apt, and I forgot to restart the recording when I came back to the studio π So Pt 3 picks up after a bit more time in Ableton, though I did realize and restart right before I began the proper "mixdown phase".
