This isn't a catch-all bassline masterclass, but more specifically the building blocks on designing/adjusting your common bass sounds. I've covered a good amount of these tips in prior walkthroughs (Blue Rose especially) and this video is geared towards solving the frequent issues I see with newer producer's tracks, so it might seem repetitive or basic to some of you, just an FYI...I figured it would be useful to have as a separate video to refer back to though. I'm sure there's something new in here for everyone!

2022-11-02 15:01:06 +0000 UTCthe feedback knob in the HPF section is essentially this, there's not a proper filter drive though. DIVA is unique in that the oscillators and other components automatically 'drive' at full volume though. In other words, having the osc volume around 12 o clock is 'normal' and anything beyond that begins to add saturation/distortion. And similarly, you can drive the final output a bit and have it sound nice or push the env and vol mod in the bottom section past 12 o clock to get more saturation. Adding FM modulation to the filter (in the filter section) can help give it some edge as well
