Hey Everyone, back with the next video for what I think I'm gonna call "Good For Me". Starting off here by replacing the lead arp with a new patch. I quickly happen upon a solid preset as a starting point and tame it a little bit to be more clean and tonal so it's appropriate for the melody. Around 9 minutes, I separate the bottom (left hand) drone/bass note from the arp pattern to a new channel and then adjust the melody on the melody channel slightly to be a bit darker. I then go on working the sound design of the new arp in the mix.

Around 27 min, I get a bit surgical with clip modulation on the drop synth to have each component of it a bit tighter and cleaner. Then I start finessing that main drop transition with some of the return channels.

At 40:45 I resample the new sweep effect from Saturn on the drop synth so that I can have that sound separately as audio and use it in other parts of the arrangement with new processing/repitching. This is a fantastic technique to use when trying to get more mileage out of a lead sound and create transitional fx.

I then continue mixing and making small adjustments plus fleshing out the intro and outro. I know that the bass in this track happens to fall on the room modes in my studio, so I'm a bit skeptical on some of the EQ choices I'm making...will have to test it out on more systems, headphones, and after I get this next shipment of acoustic treatment in.
