Added 2023-02-08 20:29:00 +0000 UTCHey Everyone, back one more time for this demo. I start with automating the bass throughout the arrangement for more character and excitement. Then there's a ton of random little changes like finessing automation, sending various elements to my Aux reverb and delays at different moments, small mix adjustments, fine tuning transitions, intro, outro, etc.
I have gone in since for additional mix changes. After playing on other systems and in clubs I'm starting to think this track might be suffering from room issues that happen to effect this key the most. I haven't updated Sonarworks for all my new treatment in this room, but once I do I'll potentially do one more video with mix adjustments...
I have a feeling I may have to clean up the arrangement a bit and make it more minimal so each element can shine more...it feels a bit to low-mid heavy, and maybe overly saturated/distorted at the moment. And I may have even gone overboard with some automation (where too many things are changing at once)--might be a result of knowing it's for Patreon and therefore wanting to show various techniques.
All that said, it did smash in the club!
