Kieu My and Constantine are definitely NOT dating lmao and they werenโt holding hands in that scene either. Unpopular opinion but from my perspective it seemed like Kieu My was just trying to get Constantine off her ass by saying โit was just a dumb New Yearโs kissโ and end the conversation bc she was uncomfortable and wasnโt willing to confront him in the moment. It obviously wasnโt okay for her or any of them to let him insulting Fatou slide, but I also get taking the path of least resistance w/a bully and narcissist that you canโt shake from your friend group.
Thereโs a large membership in the Kieu My Hate Clubโข๏ธ especially in this middle part but thereโs also a lot of stuff from Kieu Myโs pov that we donโt get to see. For example, in the New Yearโs scene, Kieu My is talking to her parents on the phone (in Vietnamese) and mentions them being at the police station โ I might be a little distracted from texting a girl if there was shit like that going down in my family too. The miscommunication abounds in this couple but a lot of the times when we feel like Kieu My is giving mixed signals itโs bc she feels mixed signals from Fatou.
Also if youโre able to read the texts/chats for the episode itโll help fill in a LOT of gaps in the storyline. This was unnecessarily long but I feel like this season is so misunderstood anyway thanks for listening to my TED Talk and thanks for the upload!! Always great to see a new video :)
