2025-04-17 19:39:25 +0000 UTCThe boys talked about this when they talked about the first Nitro, but this show is the beginning of the end of Vader in WCW. At Bash at the Beach, Vader loses against Hogan in a cage match. This causes Flair and Anderson to attack Vader after the match. Vader fights back, turning face. Vader then challenges both Flair and Anderson to a handicap match, which happens a few weeks later at Clash of the Champions in August. By September and just before that first Nitro, Vader was fired after a backstage fight with Paul Orndorff. That January, Vader is in the WWF debuting at the Royal Rumble.
