Also, The Rock made a surprise return at the start of the show during The RAW Diva’s Search Contest. He verbally assaults everyone and makes the girls eat pie. This would be the last time we see The Rock for a long time as he is going to make movies in Hollywood! Plus, Evolution turned on Randy Orton last week after he won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. They are giving him one last ultimatum; He must give Triple H the championship belt. Orton declines and spits in the face of The Game!

They had a really active wrestling community back then (still do!) but I remember seeing the weekly threads in GBS and countless WWE-related custom titles back then and thinking "That's still going? I know Stone Cold and The Rock are gone, people are still watching that?" Finding out that THIS is the kind of stuff that was generating that level of discussion is crazy. Also Tony hit the nail on the head for why I can't stand The Rock: the dude forgot how to modulate his heel and face personas. At some point he decided he could do his heel schtick to everybody but still be a good guy, so his character - on and off camera - became an endless stream of insults handwaved with some insincere "Hey, we're just having fun" asides.
