2026-02-04 21:44:37 +0000 UTCOne theory is some scholar gets a $6000 grant to investigate it, it becomes proprietary to that scholar, the scholar is getting about 3 weeks pay after University overhead, so doesn't get very far but doesn't sign away the proprietary status and so it goes on as them having exclusive access until they finish or leave this mortal coil.
