Remember when I told you that you should treat the post time skip OP as a new beginning? It's actually beginning with this arc because Fishman Island doesn't count, since it was just a TRANSITION arc. Sure, OP gets more serious (in all terms) but don't expect it right at the beginning. You still have MORE THAN A YEAR (at your current watching rate) before you get down into the depths and I think this is the main point you really don't understand. It's a build up that covered more than a DECADE and even though you have the freedom of watching 50+ episodes a day, you lack terabytes of disk space to record everything and internet speed to upload everything, before you run out of space and time if you binge watch ~500 episodes in 1 week. One piece is huge and PATIENCE is the one thing that this series will teach you even though you get to experience it on easy mode (no waiting). 1 episode per week for ~20 years is torture and you're lucky you don't get to experience that. One Piece is a bonafide drug and you've already started to show withdrawal symptoms since you want MORE every episode. In hindsight, I could tell you a shit ton, but I mustn't. Because spoilers, duh. The only thing which I can genuinely say it pissed me off to no end with OP, is the STALLING during MANY episodes, since the anime is basically an ad for the manga, therefor the anime can't get TOO CLOSE to the manga in terms of progression. Get used to that.
