New member as of today, huge fan as of a few months ago! This contest has me over the moon, it’s everything I’ve been looking for! My entire life, I’ve been drawing and painting. My mother is an amazing artist and teacher, she’d give me little projects and lessons to work on everyday (still does 24 years later lol) Last year I made a life changing decision to officially take the leap of faith and leave behind the life of an engineer I was on track for and pursue my degree in illustration and media arts. Which means I had (and still have) A LOT of lost drawing time and practice to make up for. Your videos and tips helped me to realize that even though I was rusty I still understood the basic principals and could bounce back with an artistic vengeance! I’m graduating at the end of this year and moving to California to tackle the next step of my journey. BUT AM MISSING A CRAZY AWESOME PORTFOLIO. Thank you guys for turning a swift kick in the pants I needed into a fun and awesome contest. I can’t wait to get to work and join in on the fun!

This is great because I already have a story series I want to get out there with some light novels already written just need to expand on the universe now and also do the character concepts.
