Finding SKZ has three different main series. The original Finding SKZ is more of a spoof of different Korean variety shows (like Running Man) where each episode follows a different variety trope. The episode in Australia is particularly sweet as Chan invites the kids over to his parents' house for dinner. This series does include 9 members. Finding SKZ GOD Edition came out during God's Menu era. It has more of a classic challenge structure as each member is trying to win challenges to become a "God of" something. Finding SKZ GET Edition came out during Case 143 era and has a similar structure to God Edition in that there are a series of challenges to determine who the real lovers are in the group. Culminates in a final 4 vs 4 challenge. All of these, including the Stray Kids Survival Show, are MNET content so it has all the hallmarks of MNET media. While I do think the Survival Show is an emotional experience, I do really encourage people to watch it. If you go in knowing it's an MNET program with it's highly manipulative tactics, it is a less stressful watch (plus knowing the outcome helps). Stray Kids SS is much more like a reality show than the survival shows that focus on having trainees compete until a final lineup is created. This follows their journey to prove that they as a team are ready to debut. The challenges are emotionally manipulative for sure, but you also get to see the early stages of their teamwork, their music writing skills from pre-debut, and the loyalty that they feel for each other.

2024-10-16 06:34:07 +0000 UTCThere is a LOT of SKZ content, and really, no matter where you start it'll be fun. You will definitely run into spoilers and inside jokes along the way, but Stays are always eager to provide context to a reference. If you want to get to really know the guys as individuals and artists, I'd say their Kids Room series are a great place to start. 2 Kids Room (there is an older version when they were 9 members and a 2022 version) - gives a lot of insight into all the different duos in SKZ. Some of the pairing have more episodes than others in the earlier content, so it will be a tiny bit uneven. One Kids Room (there is a 2019 and 2024 version that I'd recommend watching together) - one member is in a separate room from the others and they talk about how they view that member and how that member views themselves and the team. Lots of insight into personal feelings about things. 2 Kids Show - similar setup to 2 Kids Room in that you gain insight into pairings, as well as getting to hear those pairs sing together (some original songs not released, some previously released songs so I'd say spoilers for content). Heart Kids Room - similar to One Kids Room in that a member is separate, but this is more like a blind dating show where they are choosing between anonymous contests to find their "soulmate" in the group. Two Kids Song - the group are divided into pairs and asked to write a song within a short period of time all using the same track that Chan made. Some of the members had only just started exploring song writing at this point when they did this project. The songs are silly but you can already see the individual musical qualities of each member and what later develops as they create more projects on their own.
