Dolores Umbridge couldn’t believe it, she had heard the news, it had been a special bulletin from the daily prophet where they announced the death of you-know-who, and they even showed a picture of the corpse that had been treated poorly by the mud-bloods and blood traitors at Hogwarts.

She was picking up all the things she needed in her office. She was going to escape. There was no way she would make it out alive if she stayed here for too long, especially considering Potter had been the one who defeated him.

“Ok, time to get out of here...I just need to head to Gringotts…” the woman with a toad face said, and soon, she got out of the ministry and went to the goblin bank.

However, her eyes suddenly widened when she realized that the bank was surrounded by a bunch of young wizards she remembers from the days she taught at Hogwarts, it seemed like they were aware that a lot of Voldemort supporters were going to try to escape and get their money.

“Dolores Umbridge, surrender peacefully, we’re allowed to use force per the mandate of the soon-to-be minister Granger!” Hearing that last name made Dolores’ blood boil.

“You insolent—” She said with her wand raised.

However, the little scold she was trying to voice was silenced by countless spells that pierced her body, the wizards and witches surrounding her thought she was going to attack them, so, they didn’t hesitate to strike first, that was Minister Granger’s orders, if they don’t comply they shouldn’t be granted mercy.

So, that’s how Umbridge ended, she was lying on the floor close to Gringotts, and unknowingly to her, the spell that killed her had been shot by a muggle-born witch, what a way to go for the half-blood supremacist.

Meanwhile at Malfoy’s manor...

Harry couldn’t help but sigh, he had Narcissa in his arms and she was sleeping peacefully, the revelations about her pregnancy calmed her but it wasn’t enough, so, he had to give her a potion to sleep, after all, it seemed like she had been awake during the whole battle of Hogwarts, while they were trying to destroy Voldemort and his forces she was trying to free her son and husband.

“Dobby,” Harry called, and suddenly his house elf friend appeared in front of him.

“What can Dobby do for the great Harry Potter?” Asked the creature with a smile on his face.

“Dobby, I need you to watch over Narcissa while I’m gone, I wish I could stay here but my friends need me in the ministry,” Harry said before sighing.

“Yes, Dobby will keep guard on the former evil witch he served!” Dobby said with the most motivated tone possible and Harry couldn’t help but smile and thank him.

“Where’s Harry? We need him here!” Ron said as the rest of Dumbledore’s army was outside the ministry.

“Come on Weasley, you have a girlfriend, and sadly for you, I don’t like guys, you should get over me!” Soon a voice appeared in front of them and a lot of the members laughed.

“Come on Harry…It’s not funny, even if we defeated him, he still has followers out there who want to avenge him,” Ron explained and soon the laughter died.

“Don’t worry about it…I’m sure they’re more focused on fleeing the country, thankfully I already advised the foreign ambassadors to close and watch their borders, I also sent the names of the criminals and their pictures to them and the ICW, so, in case they’re seen, they’re going to get killed instantly, no mercy,” Harry said with a firm tone.

This was the motivation everyone needed because it was time to take over the ministry.

“Hermione…There’s an office here in this piece of crap building that belongs to you, trust me, I’m going to put you there,” Harry told his best female friend.

She was still a little skeptical about becoming a Minister at such a young age but even the adults in the order knew that there was no better candidate, she had been fighting for the rights of the lesser respected creatures for a long time and she was a fearless, smart and reckless witch.

Without her help, the Horcrux hunt would have been a disaster and in the end, Voldemort would’ve won, Harry was happy to have her by his side, and to compensate her for her years of friendship and loyalty, he was going to make her a minister, so she could make her dreams come true of giving more rights to house elves and other forgotten creatures.

“Ladies and gentlemen…Shall we?” Asked Harry with a raised brow.

It took a few moments but all the members of Dumbledore’s army were ready, but they weren’t alone, suddenly they were joined by the smaller resistances of the country alongside the remaining members of the order of the Phoenix who made it out alive from the battle of Hogwarts.

They tried to get inside the ministry but someone was clearly impeding the entrance, so, Harry decided to take matters into his own hands to stir some things inside, so, he grabbed the elder wand to send a heating spell, he was going to burn the place from the outside until they free the entrance.

Time went by and the death eaters inside the ministry were clearly trying to hold them back as much as they could but there was a limit, the heat was becoming too much, while it’s true that witches and wizards aren’t affected by normal fire, heat is a very different thing, the longer they get exposed to it, the worse it gets, just like it happens with muggles.

It seems like the death eaters inside the ministry got the message and soon, the entrance was available, once this happened, Harry cast a freezing charm to balance the temperature of the place, he was hoping he didn’t harm innocents while using the other spell, but it was necessary to break in at once.

“Ok, let’s take proper measures,” Harry said as he realized the main hall of the ministry was empty.

Soon, he cast a spell that prevented anyone from using the floo network or other ways to escape as long as they weren’t part of his group of friends and the people who joined them.

“Remember guys, if it’s not one of those marked death eaters just stun them, we’re going to use lots of veritaserum to get the truth of the employees of the ministry…Let’s go!” Harry screamed and soon the chase started.

All the people who were following him did the same, they screamed and started to cause chaos in the ministry, of course, Harry was with Ron and Hermione, it was a priority to be by their side, after all, Hermione had to be declared the new minister of magic today, not tomorrow, not the next week, today.

Still, just because she was going to become the ruler of magical Britain and a Hogwarts dropout minister, that didn’t mean Hermione wasn’t prepared to fight, in fact, she was being as fierce as Harry and sometimes even Ron.

They continued moving flawlessly inside the ministry thanks to the heating spell he used, that spell also had the effect of causing confusion to the affected parts for a few moments, Harry and his group of friends continued moving in the area and they tried to defeat as much death eaters as they could, but they were stunning more and more because they didn’t want to kill someone innocent.

There were snatchers in this place too which clearly meant that they were ready to go as far as they could to keep control over the ministry, but they stood no chance, they were confused thanks to Harry’s heat spell and they were also demoralized because of their leader’s death.

“Come on guys, we’re getting close!” Harry said loudly and the battle continued.

This was a very important battle but this was the beginning of a new magical Britain that was for sure.
