Hi guys!

This week, I'm gonna give you guys some update regarding my next project - Oozora Subaru!

Truth be told, it's kinda a long time coming for me to finally work on the OG Hololive. After looking for which member I should start working on from the list of JP rosters, I'm kinda inclined to choose Subaru since I feel like I've already had the main concept ready right on top of my head.

Looking deeper into her 2D model, Subaru's design is kinda easy to work with. Most of the VTuber models I worked on have been relying mostly on the complexity of the model to attract viewers to kickstart their career. Nonetheless, I think Subaru's design plays a subtle role in terms of making her attractive to the YouTube algorithm. However, I'd say that her personality plays a major role in terms of retaining their fans over her model design. That's just kinda how I personally think about it.

Her newer model design that she uses now closely resembles the avatar of her model creator, Ui-mama. With the way her braids are created, it's kinda easy to spot the similarities between her and the artist herself. And I think she puts no effort into hiding it. The sailor collar, their identical beret, as well as her multilayer clothing were pretty much inspired from the artist's model itself.

Whilst working on her 3D model, it was quite surprising to see that her lingerie was completely exposed even if she wore herself the full outfit. I had no idea if Subaru herself was fully aware of the fanservice, but even after all these years I never managed to see that coming. Sasuga Ui-mama 🤣
