Colossus Statue added to the Dropbox

Just a quick note to let you know the Colossus statue is now available for download. If you have not received a Dropbox link you will shortly.

As you can see it prints fairly well, there has only been one copy printed so far, I look forward to seeing some more.

I printed mine at 36cm high - it took a redonkulous 110 hours because I printed it at 0.1mm and quite slow. It was for a customer and I knew I was going to be painting it.

While XTC is awesome for smoothing prints - it a) adds a gloss to the model that can be unwanted sometimes and b) it covers small details -and when you are printing for painting you want to retain as much detail as possible, so no XTC on this one.

The one I have supplied is about 14cm tall, it should take about 10 hours to print at a good detail and decent infill. Support is required, I use meshmixer for my supports as they are really easy to remove and take far less plastic than Simplyfy3D supports (and are more customizable.
