Hero Chess - WolverBishop Add to Level 1

Well, figured he slices things diagonally.. so made this one a Bishop :)

Terminator full bust coming later today, all issues are fixed with it now also a little more accurate than it was before.

After some great feedback on the idea, I sat down and had a good think about how to move forward the best way and how I can also kill two birds with one stone.

I was thinking... a customized based for each figure is cool and all but.... A) it ends up making everything look non uniform on a players side.. and B) it takes up just as much time doing the bases as the figures sometimes.. and C) having to make separate busts as well is also just a waste of time when the thing could be done all from the start.

So... (wall of text, sorry...  I will make a small video for my next post, I have been meaning to for a while!) 

What I think will be the best way forward (And please tell me no if you think there is a better way)...

Is I make standardized Marvel, DC or whatever franchise it may be bases for each side and you simply slot the figures on the part you want them to play.  i.e You want The Thing from fantastic 4 to be a Rook? put him on the Rook base. You want Superman to be King on the DC side? Great, put him there and so on. You can see above I sort of toned down on the extra stuff, it is now a basic sort of rock/castle base type base. I am still tweaking them a bit, they should look a little cleaner than this one when they are standardized.

Doing it this way, it means:

*Uniform bases for each side. Bases can be printed in separate colours easier also. 

*Swap characters to any base you like

* Dont print the base if you dont want, and just print the figure which then serves as a dual purpose Bust print. 

* All bases will have a tapered fat lug coming out the top, all figures will have the appropriate hole in the bottom which is tapered also and will have very little overhang and still come under the no support rule. 

* I can also ensure the scale of all the bases and figures match each other as a fused base and character is harder to scale correctly against other pieces.

And more.. but basically, yeah it is a more efficient way to do this I think and keep things flowing fast.

What general size are we all liking for the pieces? ie how tall do you think the average piece should be, say, a bishop/rook/knight?
