I m actually printing the samurai storm trooper and it ran into a couple of hiccups, so i'm sort of glad I didn't upload it, once all the printing is done and I am happy with the fit of the pieces I will upload it, its alot of printing to have any mistakes arise.
So, while thats getting sorted I'm all finished with this sort of random prop... not a sword, not a blaster, not a helmet... but something that is lacking a decent version out there that is accurate.
The cassette tray opens and holds a real cassette, no obviously the buttons don't work, if I could find a good supply of cheap walkmans to retro-fit inside these I would but they are becoming rare these days. There are usb tape players now that are quite small, I could see one being retrofit into this case.
The back removes also so if you do want to put an mp3 player inside or extend headphone jacks it can be done pretty easily and cut's printing time down for the main body as there is no massive base on it.
I also split the green rings on the headphone jacks incase you want to print them in green resin on an SLA as I am just to get that nice jelly been clear green look for them. All the measurements on this are fairly accurate as I of course had access to dimensions, specs etc from Sony, so i'm really hoping when printed and painted well it will fool any passer-by.
Just need to plate all the pieces and check them for errors, then will upload a bit later on today. I have my parents coming to visit for two days so wife is in house clean-up frenzy mode...
(p.s I will include the Tape model if anyone needs it, I just used it for all my scaling and the render above)
