Hiya,
Ok so this month we are going to be fixing up all the links, and as you can see with this post, the links are now attached and there will be the tags used properly so you can find things simply and easily from the top of the patreon page without the need to go hunting for random models to print. I should have done this some time ago.
This also is the first time ever (im pretty sure...) I have uploaded a helmet that is not already cut up into pieces. I am going to use this helmet as the example in my video so people can follow along and there is no cheat way out, ie there is no cut version to rely on, its going to need to be cut (OR printed in one piece, its not as big a you think.
I have been cutting models up for people for no charge since I started 3D printing, some 9 years later it has really taken its toll on any time or free time I had. I haven't even had a chance to pick up my guitar in weeks and that can makes a sad Geoff.
22cm wide on the outer ears, the head entry reasonably narrow, please, if your width is more than about 11cm, its gonna be a bit of a squeeze, I suggest rescaling to 110% or more for a large head.
The piping needs to be flexible so the user can move. If you 3D print it in anything other than TPU, it restricts the head movement. The black tubing is very very easy to find on ebay (or anywhere..) even an old vacuum cleaner with a black hosing will do, essentially the real thing was flexible so you dont want to be printing a stiff PLA plastic with it. The tubes are not in the zip, I will try and convince you you don't need them but if I can't let me know, ill prep them for printing.
p.s if you check the front page now, you will see below the section where it says how many patrons are on subscribed, down the bottom there is featured tags, so thats going to be the easy way to find them from now on. I am limited to 5 tags only to be feature buttons, so I guess Helmets, Costumes, Props, Dioramas, Busts?
