Please find the the Jug in the links below. While these will all be support free, this bastard decided to stick his thumb out at the last minute and to change the angle to fix just a few islands .. well, i'll just give you a support version also for this one :) The rest will be support free, I just did done stuff up this one on the raised fist (sure can cut both arms off and avoid the problem all together) but am trying to make the chess pieces as dynamic as I can for torso-upward figures.
If you check the images below, the rook piece that he fits onto is shown there. That is one style of chess bases out of many so you will be able to swap them around at will. This also lets me release sets of bases also... of which I have probably 12 sets made up and a couple of boards, so thats going to come with the next figure which will be based off the suggestions like the Jug was.
I was considering magnets as ive done magnets in most of the chess sets ive done for customers, im happy to add slots for a certain type of neodymium magnet, but if so remember thats 64 for the board and 32 for the pieces, so you would need to glue or slot in 96 magnets for a full board and pieces.
The HeroChess measurements are set as follows:
Kings/Queens - Bases diameter 5cm
Rook/Bishop/Knight- Bases diameter 4.5cm
Pawns Bases Diameter 3.5cm
The squares for the board will measure 5cm each.
The boards completely assembled and with border details will not exceed 50cm in width/height and will all be modular. Of course you are welcome to scale anything up or down, if down I suggest SLA tho otherwise most of the detail will be lost.
I printed mine in the picture above at 10cm high.
