Yes, I'll be starting a discord for users this month, more to come later this week.
August will see the completion of the Droideka, the start of another 2 large projects for you all (1:1) scale) some new busts and I'm aiming for 3-4 new helmets from the DC and marvel universe (having a starwars helmet break for a couple weeks... so much new stuff coming out I want to do, need to collect references...)
"whats the large scale projects???"
Well, make some room for something a bit longer than a motorbike and something about as big as a BB8.... thats all i'll say for now, updates coming trust me :) Just finished a HUGE customer job that really did take so much time from me, It had me working 60 hour shifts (no im not kidding, thats 60 hours straight without sleep) it totally wrecked me for July.
I want to tackle a few more of the smaller items that people have suggested that I know are hard to procure (like the Labyrinth door knockers mentioned) so i'll have a crack at those also.
Massive project coming up:
The most frequent model I am asked for is a T-800 full scale 1:1 endo skeleton. If I had $1 for every time i've been asked, I could have bought one from Stan Winston himself once upon a time.
Don't worry, I have wanted one also since I was about 10 when I first saw the movie. You may have noticed that most of it has been done and applied to various busts like the T2 damage bust with half arnie torso.
One thing to keep in mind when printing something as large as a T800 endo frame requires more than printed parts. I also would not release one that does not have 100% mobility, moving pistons, electronics, the lot.
Working on a model like that is time consuming, enough to detract from other things so thats why in small pieces, little by little I've been modelling it. There are many things that the Droideka had as an advantage - mainly 3 legs for easily standing pose! The T800 is going to need to have the same functionality but on two legs.
My plan for the electronics and mechanics side of the T800 is to use as much as I can from recycled junk, mainly old 3D printers. The rods, extrusions and other things that will provide the skeleton with its rigidity will all derive from parts most of us have at home already. Old 8mm rods, 2020 extrusions etc, power supply etc.
No, it will not walk.. that is well beyond my capability both in engineering, electronics and coding, i'd call Boston dynamics if you want to go down that road :)
There are a few components I will be selling for the skeleton, I have sourced the real teeth so they will not be printed (a printable version supplied) but me personally I am using denture teeth like they did on the real ones) and also the eye electronic kits etc, just for people that are not keen on soldering and electronics.
I've purposely not mentioned the T800 because I knew as soon as I did, I would be hounded left right and centre for it, but the modelling is so far along I think it's safe to let the cat out of the bag :) I do warn you , this will be many parts - but many of them are small and easily splittable and are raw primitive shapes, so those with multiple printers will really be able to take advantage.
I would hope this to be the highest res, fully poseable T800 that's been done so far, its not worth the time modelling one thats not going to look as good as the real thing.
Sorry for the long read, and that still wasn't everything I wanted to say! :)

Do let us know where to find the electronics kits (and teeth?) that you are selling.
