It's crazy that you watched the Timon and Pumba tv show but never saw the Lion King. No surprise you loved this one.

2024-04-19 05:38:43 +0000 UTCFun Fact: The actors who played Simba's parents later went on to play the parents of another African prince; James Earl Jones and Madge Sinclair were in 'Coming to America'. Also, the lines where Pumbaa gets mad and says, "Are you talking to me?" and "They call me MR. PIG!" are references to 'Taxi Driver', and the 1967 movie 'In the Heat of the Night' and its sequel, 'They call Me Mr. Tibbs!' I love it when a serious drama gets a shout out in a Disney Film. Another Disney joke is when Zazu starts to sing, 'It's a Small World After All' and Scar tells him "No! ANYTHING but that!" Small World is a ride at Disneyland and that annoying song plays through the whole thing.
