I've been looking forward to this. This series was never meant to 'be like Band of Brothers' as someone previously commented. That's a preposterous notion. Band of Brothers and The Pacific are incomparable. They're both great series and present the two theaters of war in ways that have never been done before. Personally, I believe The Pacific series is better than Band of Brothers. This series is harsh and brutal. Marines experienced a very different and almost primitive kind of war.
