Dasha, it was so nice being with you for this movie. Your thoughts & feelings really made it special. There are many comedies that start off funny & slowly start to add more heart as the story goes on. This movie starts off with heart (& a heart attack) & just gets warmer & funnier. I think that's a benchmark of most, if not all John Hughes' movies. It was great when you raised your hand when Uncle Buck asked who can keep a promise! 😂

2024-05-17 02:52:13 +0000 UTCAs a new Canadian, you need to be aware that John Candy was and still is a National Treasure. He is effortlessly funny and adorable. And what a scene stealer! His Del Griffith in Planes, Trains and Automobiles show that perfectly. Not a lot of actors would have been able to make us love a character as annoying as Del Griffith.
