There's just no other character like Lestat, really. Just one of those classic foils for the hero - a vile sadistic killer, but so incredibly charming and funny that we can't help but like him. All his scenes with Louis just crackle, it's so good.

2024-06-01 10:54:15 +0000 UTCI’m a big Anne Rice fan. I loved her vampire books and her witch series is even better. I’m not a fan of the witch genre. But it’s well worth reading them. And I love this movie. I would never have imagined Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt in those roles after reading the books, but they were perfect!
