When I was younger, this movie didn't strike me as cheesy as it did this time. It's a very Disney Company movie, nice suburban families with relatively well-behaved kids. The underlying message of the movie was that parents shouldn't ignore or put down their children for not "measuring up" to their expectations; in other words, don't "shrink" your children. Their thoughts & feelings are important too.

That was fun. The Incredible Shrinking Man (1957) would have been my pick, but I like old movies.
