Joking aside, most 80s movies had wildly unrealistic endings, especially in comedies and rom-coms. Pronunciation of "Tom Hanks" and "Shelly Long" were just fine. As to the house? I am a bachelor, I could live in almost any condition but proper plumbing is not negotiable.
