The series is, IMO, the best. The 2nd movie is a remake of the 1st and the 3rd movie is called "Army of Darkness". Everything gets better, the fun, the horror, the grossness, the production value, etc., especially the funny stuff. Lots of horror movies either directly reference Evil Dead, like Cabin in the Woods, or they copy it.
