In the book you get a clearer sense of "the Dragon's" mind. It's a powerful story. The order of the novels is: Red Dragon, Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal, and Hannibal Rising ( which is a prequel origin story - and there is a movie version of it ).

The famous Dutch violinest Andre Rieu when he did a concert in the Netherlands played it and you can watch it on YouTube with Anthony Hopkins in the crowd.
