2024-09-25 16:37:29 +0000 UTCI enjoyed that, but I am a big horror fan. I had seen it before, but watching it with Dasha always makes the movie better than it actually is. The one thing I didn't like was the color scheme. I don't know if it was my TV or what, but the picture was way too orange.

2024-09-24 23:21:16 +0000 UTCI think "From Dusk Till Dawn" has achieved somewhat of a cult status although I found it to be just 'watchable'. When I watched Tarentino slurp up beer running off of Salma Hayek's foot, I imagine that he wanted to do repeated takes of the shot just so director Robert Rodriguez could keep the best one in the movie to preserve the scene for posterity and Tarentino's future enjoyment. I'm trying not to judge, here - "But I'm tryin', Ringo. I'm tryin' REAL hard." Cheech Marin once starred in a satirical comedy, "Born in East L.A.", about an American of Mexican descent who got stuck on the Mexican side of the border and couldn't get back home because he didn't have his I.D. He wasn't recognized as an American by the border crossing agents and not quite seen as a Mexican in Mexico because his Spanish language skills were so poor.

2024-09-24 14:27:34 +0000 UTCI can imagine that you need to read IMDB description to be able to determine the poll and the mood needed for the movie, but esp. for this one it would be much better to go fully blind. I still remember how surprised I was when the vampires started to appear. BTW - the "wide selection" advertisement is still my favourite scene from this movie.
