um, I think you're perfect Dasha lol but I appreciate your ability to take constructive criticism. I look forward to seeing the changes you might adopt and the evolution of your channel. Anyway I hope you keep up with the great content!

2024-11-01 10:13:01 +0000 UTCAs a patron of yours for close to 2 years now, and a YT follower of more than 3 years, the only suggestion I have is to be more personable and communicate with your followers. Try to respond to at least a few of their questions and suggestions. Try to give the impression that you're interested and want to engage with those that are supporting you.

2024-10-14 22:29:00 +0000 UTCIt would have to be something epic to reflect their colab ;) ... although now that i think about it, it would be interesting to see their interactions considering Dasha loves the action packed thrillers and Cassie Is the lovey dovey movies type lol

2024-10-14 19:31:32 +0000 UTCI will say, LED lights seem to attract many audiences, and most likely gets picked up in algorithms on YT ... people always lean towards what's cool and futuristic ... I also believe the people love seeing Hugo chilling with you ... and don't forget your very pretty ! ... nothing wrong with using that to your advantage if it helps, I think lol... and if im out of line, I apologize lol ... Hope you have a good day, and please don't stress about us too much ... some things cant be controlled, and whatever will be, Will Be ! ... peace :)

2024-10-14 19:24:48 +0000 UTCPopcorn in bed is the best. A collab with her and Dasha would be the dream team!
Thats MR. Baldamort
2024-10-14 16:45:52 +0000 UTCLate to the party, I haven't had time to read all the other comments yet, but I have skimmed them. So first and foremost Dasha, communication is the key. It's nice seeing you get more active on Patreon now if you can just start doing the same on you tube. Second as for the movie selections just remember you can't please everyone so don't bother trying. If some people don't like a movie you posted that's their problem. Next I saw you say you were thinking of changing your upload time here, I'd put it to a vote first. On to collaborations I think they are a good idea and will help your channel. I did see your comment saying you wanted to test it first with a reaction with your sister and that sounds fun so hopefully you'll get it figured out and possibly get some collaborations with some bigger channels, Popcorn in Bed said it was a great idea when I suggested her doing a collab with you during her most recent live stream. That's all for now, this is pretty long. But on an unrelated note Happy Thanksgiving. Look at the cute little Hugo, what a good boy he is. Keep up the fantastic work!

2024-10-14 13:57:02 +0000 UTCAs for your 3rd example. Luckily we messaged her about Deadpool 3 and she reacted to it already. She plans to release it soon!

2024-10-14 01:28:25 +0000 UTCHello Dasha, I've been viewing your movie reactions on Youtube for 3 years now and I want to say you have been my favorite movie reaction channel for a while. I love how all your reactions are genuine and authentic with nothing feeling forced or fake. I think you do a great job with your reactions. With that said, I do have some suggestions for you that you might want to consider that I think will help you expand your audience and could be beneficial for you and your channel: 1. I've heard a number of youtubers suggest that capitalizing parts of your video title helps out with the Youtube algorithm for whatever reason. I've gone through a lot of the bigger reaction channels and sure enough most of their reaction videos had some parts or all the title capitalized. I would suggest maybe capitalizing the phase "FIRST TIME WATCHING" or "MOVIE REACTION" in your videos and see if that helps push your videos more with the Youtube algorithm. 2. I would suggest if you start a movie franchise or universe then you should try to react to the next movie in the franchise in a timely effort until you finish watching all the franchise. For example, when you reacted to the MCU or Harry Potter films then you made sure to watch 1 movie a week from them until you finished the series. I think its important if you start a franchise then a lot of viewers appreciate it if then can view reactions to a beloved franchise of theirs. For example I am still hoping and waiting for you to continue to react to the next movies in the Planet of the Apes, Toy Story and Rocky/Creed franchises. Note that you don't have to do this for every franchise as there are some were there are only 1-2 good movies so for those its okay only watching the good ones I think. 3. Last recommendation would be to react to any popular movies as soon as they are out on streaming and you can upload a reaction. For example, Deadpool and Wolverine just came out and a lot of people made reactions to them as soon as it was on streaming. I would suggest for the biggest movies of the year to make sure you have a movie reaction to them at least 1-2 weeks after you can react to them as a lot of viewers such as myself love seeing their favorite reaction channels watch some the most recent films they watched and absolutely loved. Once again keep up the great work and wish you all the best

2024-10-13 21:39:15 +0000 UTCI'm paying money to be here and I wouldn't if I wasn't enjoying your reactions. So overall just keep it up. Since you ask though I will say please get better at hiding the fact that you're texting. Kind of a bummer to see that when important things are happening on screen. And 2nd I would like it if sometimes you would talk a little longer about what you just watched. Example in a lot of GOT videos the video ends like 3-10 seconds after the episode. I know you just reacted to it but I would like to hear your post episode thoughts. That's the time to rant about a hated character. Or if something big happened now you can talk a little more in depth about it, or if you have any theories about what is about to happen to...well lets say Tyrion right now. For me, I would like to see that. Again- I wouldn't be here if I didn't enjoy my time here. Hope you and Hugo have a great day!

2024-10-13 17:30:24 +0000 UTCI don't get the negative reactions for Dasha's thumbnails, either. I think they show Dasha's sense of humor and if she has fun making the thumbnails, then they're worth doing.
ButtercupsTrueLove
2024-10-13 09:24:07 +0000 UTCYou won't screw it up. Trust that it will work out just fine. Looking forward to seeing what you figure out! 👊

2024-10-12 22:36:53 +0000 UTCPaul M, I agree with this. I think Dasha would benefit from a collaborative reaction with a bigger channel. Cinebinge, Popcorn in Bed, etc.
Michael@GetFitwithDogs
2024-10-12 22:32:53 +0000 UTCPersonally, I don't get the thumbnail hate. I'm not saying you, but I have seen some people complain that they don't like seeing Dasha look "unattractive". I don't know... maybe it's because I have a girl irl... but seeing Dasha put her face on an image of a guy with a beard does not bother me at all. In fact, I laugh my butt off when I see her clever thumbnails. Think about it. So many creators are obsessed with positive feedback and they don't ever allow themselves to appear less than their best. The fact that Dasha makes hilarious faces and puts her picture on someone from the movie poster tells me that she's very secure with herself and I appreciate that way more than someone that always has to sell their appearance. Maybe I'm in the minority, but that's my take on it.
Michael@GetFitwithDogs
2024-10-12 22:30:26 +0000 UTCI like the content - it's why I'm here - so I have nothing big to offer as a suggestion. If I had to come up with something to suggest... maybe don't rush the introduction and the closing of a video. Many people click on the video for the first time because they like the movie, but the ones that return click on the video because they like you as a person. My suggestion would be to talk more in the beginning and more at the end as well, just being yourself. 🤷♂️
Michael@GetFitwithDogs
2024-10-12 22:19:33 +0000 UTCMaybe stop looking so good in your productions as many women might not feel despair and males might better admire their female partners, The body is just a shell for the Soul and mind. But females like yourself break the mold.

2024-10-12 20:46:44 +0000 UTCI have also been supporting Dasha for years. many of us have. You are not the only one here who has ideas to help Dasha out or for her to trying new things. She isn't second guessing anything. You have way to much of a parasosocial relationship with her.
Thats MR. Baldamort
2024-10-12 13:31:28 +0000 UTCYou 3 or 4 need to stop. You guys should mind your own business. Stop with the negative comments to Dashsa and other subs that have nothing to do with you and you wont hear a peep outta me.
K
2024-10-12 12:53:54 +0000 UTCI'll never reply to someone elses comment to a creator - unless it's out of line or I see someone (like you 3 or 4) who are actually trying to squash others opinions in separate posts. You guys are the ones causing problems, there is no need for you to reply to others comments to the creator. Y'all have been doing this for a while now, to the point she is second guessing herself. I wont sit by while a couple of loud noisy panty waste twerps try to change a channel I've been supporting for years. I already offered to pay your subscriptions if she blocked you.

2024-10-12 12:51:14 +0000 UTCHi Dasha, - Perhaps 2k or 4k video recording - Every now and then have a movie reaction specifically titled "Dasha's choice" - If I was rich I would suggest giving people an option where people could pay "X amount" of money for you to react to a movie of their choice, But I feel that that would cause more issues, and cause you to possibly lose many loyal followers. - Maybe get a cat 🤷♂️
Neversure
2024-10-12 05:56:21 +0000 UTCI think you are doing a good job. I do not react to movies and like people who can react, but when a movie is done with and I feel like the movie was a not waste of money, then I liked the movie. But if I pay to watch a movie over again, then it was an even better movie and so forth. Only once did I feel like I got gypped for paying to watch a movie. Maybe with reactors it is good to have one that reacts and has of the wall comments than one that is silent. I know some reactors bring in music, anime, TV programs and if you do then keep these channels separate from the movie reactions. When they are blended together onto one channel it just gets messy. It might be a idea to organize the movies you reacted and expand the genera playlisting grouping of movies to help people find a genera they like rather than searching through the Video collection of movies you have seen.
Yohann Yahtzee
2024-10-12 02:28:54 +0000 UTCI think you do an excellent job, Dasha. Personally, I'm not a big fan of the recent thumbnail style, with you edited into other characters, but maybe that's just me. I prefer to see YOU in the thumbnails! I think interest will rise and fall depending on whether people like the movie you're reacting to, but don't get discouraged! You're terrific!
Terry
2024-10-12 01:20:16 +0000 UTCI think you're doing great Dasha. I would love it though if you did one of three things, or all three. React to songs React to games or series Cosplay if possible. I think you'd have fun with it.

2024-10-11 15:18:36 +0000 UTCHi Dasha, I love your channel, you're such a charming young woman & you make me laugh & think with your comments. I will have to agree, though, with a couple suggestions others have said here. I can understand why you want to check IMDB, but every once in a while it can really spoil a major aspect of the movie. The vampires in From Dusk Til Dawn is a good example. I also would like to hear more of your thoughts after movies. I know you're a little self-conscious about your English skills, but perhaps you can stop the camera, collect your thoughts, perhaps write them down, then come back to the camera & say them. I realize some movies don't need alot of analysis, but every now & then it might be interesting. Also, some channels, after the movie, look up trivia for the movie & read some of it aloud. Perhaps you might want to try that. I have to say, I loved your reactions to "Chernobyl", & it's always a treat when there's some "Russian" aspect of a movie that you can comment on, especially your comments on "Nobody", that was alot of fun, you dancing to song about the accountant!😂 Some personal posts would be nice, but only if you are comfortable with them. Hugo is a cutey! Also, it would be nice to see you reply to comments sometimes, it lets us know you're paying attention. Best wishes to you!

2024-10-11 14:40:10 +0000 UTCK, The name of this post is "What Can I Improve?" Dasha is actively wanting to hear everyone's thoughts & opinions! You may think there's no room for any improvement, that's fine. But everyone has their opinions & you need to stop being so angry about it. Go get some fresh air, walk around the block a few times. Nobody needs your bad attitude, especially Dasha, who states in the post that she wants her account here to be a place of positivity & relaxation! Mr. Baldamort, I've seen a few reactors on YouTube do reviews of movie trailers, especially much-anticipated movies, so it does occur, more & more lately it seems. It doesn't really make sense to me, but there it is.

2024-10-11 08:18:45 +0000 UTCI think it would be cool to have Dasha do a second channel for her Tv show reactions if she ever found the time to do so or maybe if she found a editor that could help her with it.
Thats MR. Baldamort
2024-10-11 05:20:38 +0000 UTCHey there! Hugo is so cute! 💖 Personally, I think you're pretty awesome just the way you are! I also think it's amazing that you're even asking what you can do better! It just shows that you really care about your content... I haven't been able to watch much of any YouTube in a while just because I've been so busy in my personal life... You always make me smile and that's all I can really ask for... I'd love to take you to dinner 😊 but other than that, I'm happy with what you're doing! Much love Dasha! 😘💕

2024-10-11 04:10:17 +0000 UTCThe only real suggestion that I would have is do You Tube versions of Game of Thrones!! I always wished you watch that series but I can't watch the Patreon version as I don't have my own copies to watch along. I think you are fantastic.

2024-10-11 04:02:48 +0000 UTCK. No idea why you are being so actively hostile. Ive seen you attack subscribers on severak occations now. Clearly there is many people who have ideas for Dasha content. No need to personally attack or insult people. Especially on a post about giving feedback and ideas for her content that she asked for.

2024-10-11 03:42:18 +0000 UTCRight, yeah im the Pos, whatever dude. Just because im a more outspoken patron member who actually enjoys interacting with comminity. Not sure who gave you any moral authority here to think you have the right to insult people, but its not the right answer. Nobody is "telling" her what to do. Its all just suggestions.
Thats MR. Baldamort
2024-10-11 03:24:21 +0000 UTCShe doesn't need to "improve" you pos.
K
2024-10-11 03:19:43 +0000 UTCOkay, you are way out of line. Now you are getting personal. Wanting Dasha to improve or give some feedback on content ideas isnt negative. Nobdoy is making Dasha second guess anything. Not sure what your issue is but you need to stop. NO movie reactors DONT watch movie trailers. And attacking the community and insulting community members isnt the right move here.
Thats MR. Baldamort
2024-10-11 03:18:05 +0000 UTCYou stop posting negative comments to Dasha and stop trying to tell her what to do and I'll stop insulting you.
K
2024-10-11 03:17:38 +0000 UTCMovie reactors do watch trailers and check IMDB. I am not trying to convince her to change, you and a couple of other panty waste punks are the ones stirring up trouble. You are the ones making her second guess her channel which is coming up on 100k subs. You are the ones who are way out of line. The only people I am insulting is you 3 or 4 soyboys who are the ones posting negative comments to Dasha.
K
2024-10-11 03:16:25 +0000 UTCBest way to have more interaction with your community would be with a Discord channel. Most of the react people I follow have a Discord. The social features on Patreon aren't very good, Discord is much better. It can be linked with Patreon so you can give Patrons upgraded status on Discord, and access to Patron only discord channels if you want.
Tom Evans
2024-10-11 03:12:36 +0000 UTCMovie reactors dont watch trailers before reacting to a movie. If you have been watching her for years (or any movie reaction creator) you should know by now that she wont ever watch a trailer before doing a movie reaction. Also You have to be a paid subscriber to even be here lol.
Thats MR. Baldamort
2024-10-11 02:55:14 +0000 UTCOh, put a link on your Youtube reactions so people can donate. Sci-fi classics will bring in more viewers who are willing and able to be paid subs. The Thirteenth Floor, Dark City, etc. Maybe do some travel videos or "Dasha around town" videos. Maybe lean into your heritage some. I know there's a ton of Russians and Russian stuff in BC and the Pacific Northwest 'cause I used to live there - and frankly if YT is throttling you over your channel name, you might as well embrace it. I vote against the music and stand-up videos... they are low leverage and you are not likely to see a big return for the amount of work you will have to do, and you are more likely to get strikes.
K
2024-10-11 02:36:20 +0000 UTCI don't think you should change anything. I've been watching for years now and you have gained a lot of followers in that time. I think you probably get throttled by Youtube for some reason because, you are one of the best. Maybe do Youtube versions of GoT or other shows?? You may think about toning down the thumbnails, guys like pretty girls and your thumbnails, lol, don't always show that aspect of you. Also, I think you've got some professional trolls trying to stir up trouble. Last thing, keep checking IMBD or at least watch the official trailers, no one goes to see a movie that they have no idea what it is about and, it's guaranteed that the jerks trolling you on this issue watch movie trailers themselves. I know at least a few of them aren't even paid subscribers. You're awesome!
K
2024-10-11 02:16:16 +0000 UTCYeah, doesn't have to be a whole essay but I think some kind of wrap up would be nice. :)
Allan Mott
2024-10-11 01:34:37 +0000 UTCI agree with another comment I saw on here. Dasha, you certainly do not need to feel that you like every movie you watch on here. This entire time I think you have only had one big criticism for one movie, and that was Captain Marvel. Happens to be one of my favorite Marvel movies, but whatever. lol.. You seemed to enjoy the movie but thought Captain Marvel was too OP. That’s all. It’s not that I want you to trash talk the movies, but to be honest about how you feel. No one likes absolutely every movie they see. So I guess I’m saying my only slight complaint is that you never have had a complaint? If that makes any sense.
Todd Schellbach
2024-10-11 01:19:00 +0000 UTCLove Whimsory, but she posts content so infrequently. She does have her own thing after the movies (such as the ‘awards’) that I enjoy.

2024-10-11 01:05:19 +0000 UTCYou're my favourite reactor, so my only note is don't be afraid to tell us more about what you thought about the movie after you've watched it. Another good reactor, Whimsory, does something I really like--after she films a reaction and edits it, she adds a bit at the end where she talks about the film now that she's had time to think about it and essentially watch it twice. This isn't appropriate for every movie, but if--for example--you did it for a movie you clearly loved like 12 ANGRY MEN, I think it would be really cool. I know you sometimes worry about your English but I think taking the time to put your thoughts together rather than speaking off the cuff might help improve your confidence.
Allan Mott
2024-10-10 23:46:08 +0000 UTCShhhh! Don't tell us here. Save it for the Q&A. 😉
YoureMrLebowski
2024-10-10 23:02:06 +0000 UTCI don't really have any ideas to add. I just want to say i hope you haven't been feeling too discouraged recently. You're videos are truly appreciated! I will say it's nice to get more interaction from you, even just this text post. When there are no replies or liked comments from you on your videos for a while it can kind of feel like you have no interest in being active with your community. I think people will engage more if they know you are reading/might reply. As long as keep your awesome personality and sense of humor i will be here watching along! Also Hugo is sooo cute. Dogs are the best!

2024-10-10 22:38:15 +0000 UTCFirst of all, thanks for your work. About some negative responses, don't take it too seriously. It is normal that viewers may not like some specific moment, or whole movie, and sometimes the comment on internet looks more harsh than is meant. About my two cents - it is nice to try new things - I think colabs or Q&A would be nice, but don't do it just because it is demanded. If it is something you don't really want to do by yourself, it would backfire very probably.
Ja Hu
2024-10-10 22:01:34 +0000 UTCI agree that Dasha needs to watch more classics. She really enjoyed 12 Angry Men. We should be providing more recommendations of older movies.
Chris Brinkley
2024-10-10 21:57:33 +0000 UTCI couldn't think of anything for you to change. But I saw a few good suggestions in the previous comments. I'll share some of my thoughts to a few that stood out to me. I have not put these in any sort of order, so don't read into anything about their placement. Reacting to music or comedians. I've heard you mention you want to avoid copyright issues with music reactions. But I wonder if comedy clips from stand-up routines or talk shows would be less likely to incur copyright issues. It's really great when we can see you laugh. We'll take all we can get. Be more interactive with the community. Either hosting occasional live streams or creating special compilation videos could be a good way to go. You could talk about any number of things including, yourself, favorite movies from various genres, most disliked movies, favorite actors, favorite directors, etc. This way we can get to know you better and perhaps provide better movie suggestions. Have a more interesting background. I certainly wouldn't want you to spend too much time or money doing this. However, a good background can spice things up a little. Maybe some movie posters of your favorite movies, images related to the movie you are reacting to, or even basic decorations that reflect your personality. Thumbnails. While I like the quirky thumbnails, I do agree too much face altering is not necessarily a good thing. I'm not sure what the solution is here, but maybe try a few things and ask for our feedback. As you know, you will never get everyone to agree on the perfect style. Just try to make the majority happy while doing something you enjoy. Here's one of my own ideas. You don't have to like every movie you see. I know people get upset when you don't like something they do. But we all have movies we don't like, no matter how popular they are. Just be as articulate as you can when you discuss things about a movie or scene you didn't like. You might even see the number of comments increase as people debate how good or bad something is. No matter how controversial your opinion is, you will find many people think the same way as you. I don't read the comments for every movie. So I am unsure how much drama has been happening lately to justify this post. But I have noticed a few comments that seem overly emotional toward some trivial things. Please realize when people start using harsher language or begin ranting they are being emotional and not rational. Do your best to heed the advice given in rational posts and put less merit in the emotional ones. The emotional ones may provide a valid point, but are not likely to offer a useful solution. At the end of the day, you need to create content you enjoy. Tell us what you enjoy the most and we will do our best to help you succeed.
Chris Brinkley
2024-10-10 21:46:45 +0000 UTCI think it would be fun if you added an end-of-the year "Dasha's top 10" most enjoyable movies of 2024. And/or bottom 10... least enjoyable. You could also do top 3 movies you liked from each month, but now you would probably be doing too much work. I get the most pleasure from your comments during the movie and your outro when you give us your perceptions of what you just watched. I can't get enough of your opinions and feelings about things. As an aside, I love when you do Rom-Coms. Especially (like with When Harry Met Sally) when you are pleasantly surprised. You are my only reactor which I am subscribed to still. I love your channel, Dasha!

2024-10-10 21:10:53 +0000 UTC"feels a bit shy" reminds me of Dasha when she first started. Hey let her know we can be the guinee pigs. Would love to have her. Maybe keep it patreon exclusive until you get the bells and whistles figured out and we can give good feeback on the editing if you want it.

2024-10-10 21:05:03 +0000 UTCOoooo I like this new incentive , let me think about the structure. I would want to do a collab with some other reactors , but I think I’d want to start with my sister first just as a test run . I have never tried to watch a movie with someone else before so I wouldn’t want to screw up other channels in case of something failing on my end. She wants to watch a movie with me , but she feels a bit shy

2024-10-10 21:01:00 +0000 UTCFirst I want to say, thank you this update and wanting to interact more, this is amazing and its great to see you wanting to improve and take feedback. You will continue to always be the number one reactor to me. That being said. Yo a reaction with your sister would be amazing! I wondered if it would be something she would into trying since you bring up your sister occasionally. Do you think she will introduce herself? I dont think we have EVER seen you speak to another human on this channel. A collab with her or maybe even, if you have other friends interested, or other YouTubers who do react content will be FUN to watch. (maybe reach out to cinebinge, you JUST KNOW they would love to react with you) -If you think chaning time of day will help, it makes sense too. -I think As far as interacting with us. if there is a question about something or you see comments you like, I think replying or giving a like to know your community is being heard when you get the chance to. Nothiing way to crazy. I do like the idea of monthly or every other month check ins. -with the thumbnails. I think you should try a mixing with both through the week. Maybe you can see if there is any effect on your stats page. Also, have you considered doing a new incentive? Maybe for your high tier patrons, where once a month you can make a post asking for one suggestion from each person and put in on a digital spin wheel for it to randomly select?
Thats MR. Baldamort
2024-10-10 20:57:02 +0000 UTCHaving an occasional guest is not a bad idea at all. Some reactors do collabs with each other, and that's always a possibility, especially these days since the technology makes it so easy. Thanks, by the way, Dasha, for caring so much about this stuff. It's really the mark of an exemplary creator.
Troy Hickman
2024-10-10 20:50:36 +0000 UTCIt would be great to see you collaborate with another reactor, or with someone in your life. Love your reactions, you’re clearly very bright and you never talk over the movies

2024-10-10 20:47:58 +0000 UTCI like your channel a lot. I just haven’t been super interested in a lot of the movie choices lately. But that’s nothing to do with you. One idea might be to occasionally pick random subscribers to give you a movie suggestion. Polls are good but sometimes good movies don’t win polls because a lot of people haven’t seen certain movies yet.

2024-10-10 20:41:51 +0000 UTCHey!!! Just reading each comment, and want to thank you for your INCREDIBLE support I really like the idea of QandA. I think I won’t put it up on YouTube , but maybe we can just keep it here on Patreon . I’ll make a post! Also, I won’t look at IMDB summaries , but there are couple movies that I have already filmed and I did look there , so don’t be annoyed that the next couple videos would still mention IMDB summary In terms of thumbnails , that is so questionable. I would personally click more on the videos with edited thumbnails compared to just a face with the emotion. So maybe you are right and I should just do mix of both I also might change the time of the day when I post videos because I usually schedule them for the morning , but I don’t always have a chance to look at your comments if something is wrong up until I am home after work & walk with hugo And I really want to interact more with you guys , so if you have any ideas how we can do that, I am all ears . Maybe just as simple as monthly check ins with everyone under a post or something discussing the best and worst movie of the month And lastly , I want to invite my sister to watch a movie with me , but I am a bit doubtful in terms of editing for two people ( I will figure it out). So I am thinking I am going to show her the movie that I have already watched but I think she’ll have a lot of emotions there LOL .

2024-10-10 20:39:07 +0000 UTCI think it’s the case where there are a small group of people who make a lot of noise giving the impression that the larger community is displeased. I agree with the folks who say you should just continue to do you. I wouldn’t mind some more reactions to scary movies for October. Your Conjuring reaction is my favorite…

2024-10-10 19:47:45 +0000 UTCI can't really think of anything I would change. Maybe just make the videos a bit longer? It's impossible to please everyone all the time. I know it's difficult when you work a full-time job and have a life outside of doing YouTube also. And not everyone can afford fancy editors. So I think some of the criticism has been a bit unfair . But that is just one guy's humble opinion. And I love the photo of Hugo!

2024-10-10 19:14:24 +0000 UTCMy two suggestions are to interact with your audience more (this post is a great start!) and to post the version of the movie that you are watching. If you don't know the version, post the source (Amazon Prime, Netflix) or the runtime and we'll quickly figure it out for you.

2024-10-10 19:05:54 +0000 UTCI think you should mix up your thumbnails more. Some people make good points. If you want people to click, the face swapped thumbnails are not as intriguing as seeing YOU as a whole in the thumbnails. We can all agree, let's not pretend Dasha isn't gorgeous. People see Dasha as herself in thumbnails it means a click. And if we want dasha to have more viewrship. you need to play the game a little bit. Not saying to get rid of your photoshoped thumbnails but bring back your old style more too. People don't recognize you in their feeds if you faceswap to heavily but they will click on your video if they instantly see you. Just a suggestion. worth a try.
Thats MR. Baldamort
2024-10-10 19:05:41 +0000 UTCYou're one of the best reactors on YouTube because your reactions are so heartfelt and open-minded, so I don't have much to suggest for you to improve on (the thumbnails are cool, too). Maybe at the end of the year, you can possibly make a tier list of all the movies you've reacted to this year and do that as a video? It's perhaps another way you can stand out in the reaction community as not many others have done this.
Cory Morrison
2024-10-10 18:54:45 +0000 UTCHello Dasha. My name is Patrick and I have been following you for a couple of years now. You are easily my favourite reactor as I find you very honest and heartfelt with your reactions. As well I think you are hilarious with many of your comments such as with your reaction to Carrie, 'being single keeps you alive'. One of the things I think may help draw in views in adding some background to your viewing area to let us connect with you more. I often see funko pop figures or lights with other reactors. Whatever you think shows off who you are would be good as you have always been very truthful with us in your reactions. Anything that helps us connect visually with you and you enjoy having around would be good. If Hugo does not allow you to keep thinks because everything is a chew toy maybe you could edit a background in that changes every video. A giant castle fireplace one time, inside a space ship another, whatever you think is fun. I love your thumbnails and hope you are in a happy place right now because you always bring a smile to my face when I see a new reaction posted. All the best.

2024-10-10 18:45:56 +0000 UTCI think the best advice I could offer is to just trust yourself. One of the reasons I love your reactions so much is because you are very smart, and because of that, I think you have an intrinsic sense of what works. People can make suggestions, but don't second-guess yourself, because I think just being yourself is where your success lies. I watch a lot of reactions, but since I don't have a lot of $$$, this is the only channel that I support through Patreon. That's because I believe hard work and excellence should be rewarded, and you do a fantastic job. As far as suggestions, I wouldn't mind occasionally seeing reactions to music videos or stand up comedy the way you did in the early days of the channel. And some of the other suggestions folks have made are good ideas as well, such as more q&a's, and always more Hugo! But as I said, have faith in yourself, because we have faith in you, and we think you're pretty great.

2024-10-10 17:52:03 +0000 UTCSorry for being a complete dipshit guys. I espeically apologize to Dasha. I take full accountability for coming off hostile. Sincerely. I'll tone it back and stuff. I would love to see Dasha maybe put a little more time into her YouTube edits and go away from the faceswapping thumbnails. They are not as eye catching as it being her in the thumbnail. Listen. Let's be honest. Dasha is very damn cute. Dasha knows she cute, she isnt as humble as she thinks she is. It's the truth when people see cute girl in thumbnail they click. It's that simple. It would help Dasha out if she went back to her original way she did thumbnails.

2024-10-10 17:48:00 +0000 UTCLook at those ears. He is so cute. I remember when you got Hugo. Time goes by so fast. I always wonder where the best location is to make a movie request for you to see. And I always enjoy your movie polls, even though I usually come in second. You should put them in groups: one-week Horror, then one-week oldies, one-week comedies, and so on.

2024-10-10 17:47:38 +0000 UTCI still love your content. If I have any criticism at all it's that I prefered your old photoshoped thumbnails to your new AI generated thumbnails. Some are ok but others are a little hard to look at. I know AI is easier but I bet you could find someone who could make them for you at a reasonable rate. I could try myself but I'm, at best, an amateur. More Hugo is a clear win for everyone. Also, maybe I'm in the minority but I would like to see you watch the occasional bad movie. I'm sure they don't rack up the views like "popular" movies, but I can't be the only one who would love to see you watch silly stupid movies like Evil Alien Conquerors (2003) or Tammy and the T-Rex (1994). I would also add my support to more classic films, although I know they're also often not huge view getters. But adding variety might get more subs if not more views per video.

2024-10-10 17:44:34 +0000 UTCI just said something similar. Dasha should make a post that only her highest tier can see asking for one movie suggestion each. Then put those movies on a spin wheel it will randomly select!

2024-10-10 17:39:00 +0000 UTCHonestly I can't think of anything to improve your viewings and commentary. Are there less people watching? The only time I might not watch a reaction is because I haven't seen the film. O like classic films the most like those from the '30s and '40s, but those choices may not improve your viewership and there are some reactions I've watched more than once because they're so much fun. One thing I do like is when the film image is the whole screen rather than just a quarter of the screen so that might help. Best wishes.

2024-10-10 17:36:06 +0000 UTCDasha DASHA! I have an idea. An incentive. One time a month, for your highest tier patrons. Make a post on your patreon page that only your highest tier can see. Asking for ONE movie suggestion each then you put those suggestions on a digital spin wheel that it will randomly select! Once a month a movie from a patron can get reacted to! You can find the spin wheeel here. A few movie reqctors do this and the community love it. Its an amazing incentive. Here is the link to the spin wheel! https://wheelofnames.com/

2024-10-10 17:34:21 +0000 UTCLove your content and personality! I think maybe some Q&A videos, or just general chat videos would be awesome. Maybe some deeper review videos on certain films that really spoke to you. For example, I would love to hear your perspective on Russian characters/stories in American films. You're insights and anecdotes during the Chernobyl reaction actually made me appreciate that show MORE! You have a very interesting background that truly sets you apart from other film reaction channels. As for the less interest from the general youtube audience, you've been getting into the territory of "Classic" and "Cult Follwing" films, which is great for a select, smaller audience! But for gaining more/newer viewers, it may benefit you to try to react renew releases AS they're releasing. Hopefully your reaction will get caught up in the algorithm when people are talking about that new film. And I can ALWAYS recommend horror films for reaction videos. Those tend to do pretty well across most reaction spaces And personally, I would LOVE to see your tv show reactions edited down and put up on YouTube. There's a big audience that would love to see your reaction to some of those shows! But, all in all, you're doing great! And don't worry too much, all channels go through ups and downs. The algorithm is a confusing creature, always volatile and strange in how it behaves week to week

2024-10-10 17:27:08 +0000 UTCHi Dasha. First of all, I love what you do here! I know it can get frustrating at times and make you feel a little overwhelmed, but you’re doing great! Your reactions are very enjoyable! As far as some changes, I think some of the suggestions from the previous messages might be worth thinking about, but let’s be honest. No matter what you do, you’re not gonna be able to please everyone. It’s just how it goes, unfortunately. People are always gonna have something to complain about. Just keep being you. You’re doing great! Now before I go, if I could offer one suggestion... Perhaps as an incentive, you could select one of your top tier patreons each month to choose a movie for you to watch and react to? I don’t know if that’s something you’d consider, but just thought I’d throw that into the discussion. :) Anyway, have a great day and I absolutely love that picture of baby Hugo! So cute! ❤️

2024-10-10 17:24:35 +0000 UTC1) A weekly 'What's Coming' post could really hype things up. I work a lot and miss some of the reactions in my stream of posts I would love to see, but I could be specifically looking for something during the week. 2) Along with the fuller ending comments, I suggest maybe making a movie tier list video or at least screenshot of it every once in a while using the free tier list maker for movies. I don't always know where you stand on how much you like the movies. And that kind of info really adds to the reaction experience.

2024-10-10 17:21:19 +0000 UTCIt is hard to please everybody, we are all different, so I accept that I can't get it like i want all the time😉 Honesty, I do the same with all the places I follow, when the content is something I like, I stay active in the community, but when it starts to loose "quality" I start looking elsewhere, by quality I mean the reactions are on content i don't find interesting. My rule of thump is IMDB score under 6 I don't watch the content, between 6 and 7, 90% chance of me watching it, above 7, I might see it several times. Can only speak for my self, but when movies like Red eye and Three Amigos are the movies, I find other reaction to movie I like, they were ok movies when you had flow tv, but for youtube, it's not for me. So it's not you that I dislike, lave many of your reactions, just more and more of your movie reactions doesn't catch my interest

Anyway, maybe once a month you could have a random pick of your followers for a Follower of the Month. That follower could then make a request of any movie they wish because there are so many good movies that aren't picked only because many don't know about it.

2024-10-10 17:18:28 +0000 UTCI’m not sure what you can do to make things more fun and exciting, I love your reactions just the way they are. I tend to only watch reactions of films I’ve seen or films I like. I feel all I can offer is to recommend some films I’d like you to watch, perhaps some non English - Das Boot (1981), The Lives of Others (2006), Untouchable (2011), Two Days, One Night (2014), Beau Travail (1999), House (1977), 4 Months, 3 Weeks, and 2 Days (2007).

2024-10-10 17:17:20 +0000 UTCHonestly, I have no complaints. I know nothing about editing so have no opinion there other then it looks fine to me as a layman. Your commenting on the movie is also fine imho. but I do watch reactions for a different reason maybe than most. I watch them to re-live what it is to see the movie/series again for the first time. If you have insights to offer during or after that is great as long as it is not overdone. Some people start analyzing things and can talk your ear off about the different effects, camera angles and cinematic tricks. That all passes over my head anyway and if it is overdone I loose interest quick. Same with reactors that feel they need to 'put on a show' or 'waffle a lot' during the reaction. Again I am here to re-live the experience of seeing something for the first time by watching the reactor see it for the first time. As such I do agree going in blind has my preference too. Nothing so fun as to watch a reactor get surprised. As to the choices, honestly I am not even sure I know how those are made. I have seen polls, and people suggesting things but I am not sure how/when/why some movies get chosen. That might be then the one thing you could refine. It might also explain what you said above, that it feels people are not liking the content. I will admit I don't watch every reaction. In fact I do not do that for any of the reactors I watch. There will always be movies or series that I just don't like (or have seen to begin with) but that has nothing to do with the reactor in the least. That being said I don't expect a reactor to _only_ watch movies that I like. That's just not realistic. And I will also admit I have stopped following/subbing to some reactors in the past because for months none of the chosen content peaked my interest. Again not the fault of the reactor. This is a little bit of a risk with letting the members decide every single movie/series choice. Sometimes you end up with an audience that is polarized to certain types/genres of movies and series. That dominant group might then alienate members outside of that group because they dominate every poll. Maybe the best is to have half of the content be decided by the members via polls while deliberately mixing it up with the other half by looking at what other reactors react on? If only to avoid getting pidgeonholed.

2024-10-10 17:09:03 +0000 UTCI can only speak for myself but when I see animated movies, rom-coms or basically anything made in the last 20 years I'm out! Just not interested in any of that. I think there are plenty of great older movies you could still cover that would get more views.

2024-10-10 17:08:21 +0000 UTCI have been enjoying your channel for quite a few years now and still look forward to the new episodes. The only time I don't watch is if the movie holds no appeal to me. Obviously everyone has different opinions so I don't expect to find every episode to my taste but sometimes with certain movies I have no enthusiasm. It's hard for reactors after the big titles have been watched but the fact is you have a wonderful presence and your personality carries you on. Personally I would love to watch you play a longform game like RDR 2 or see the farm you assemble in stardew valley but those are big time eaters so they may be too much of a commitment. At the end of the day just focus on what makes you happy. That is what we all enjoy

2024-10-10 17:01:43 +0000 UTCHello Dasha...I love your channel and you have a fun personality and terrific sense of humor. One suggestion would be to react to songs and music videos. Especially music from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. Songs/videos are much shorter than a movie or TV show, so you could put out a lot of them and get thousands and potentially millions of views if one of your reactions go viral. Plus, it would be a great way for you to discover great music from before you were born. I am very confident you could pick up a lot more subscribers this way, while continuing to entertain all of your current subscribers who enjoy supporting you. Keep up the great work!

2024-10-10 17:00:43 +0000 UTCThere's no trouble I see with the actual reactions themselves. The only real reason I ever skip one — and it's not just you, but also applies to all of the other reactors I watch — is because the actual movie/series itself just doesn't interest me.

YoureMrLebowski
2024-10-10 16:55:49 +0000 UTCThank you for being open to feedback, Dasha. Other channels could learn from you in that regard. I’m not here as often as others, so it’s not as easy for me to comment, compared to others. But I’ll try: Maybe more classic films, especially from the 40s, 50s and 60s. Not that there should be one every week, but definitely more often, as they have given so much to cinema. For example, we’ve only had one Hitchcock film on here. The same with Sidney Lumet, we could do with more Kubrick. We haven’t had the likes of Kurosawa, Fellini, John Huston on here, just to mention a few. Another is maybe switch the polls up a bit so it’s not just genre or even a certain decade, but maybe a poll of one certain actor or director’s movies. There are also movie series that haven't been finished yet for some reasons. Some series are better left off by only watching 1 or 2 of them, you can always get people's opinions on that. But one example is The Godfather. You loved the first one, so why haven't you gotten to the sequel which is arguably better? I also agree that the outros and your reviews could be longer. They’re usually 1-2 minutes. The ideal for me in a reactor is 5-10. I know it can be difficult immediately after to get all your thoughts out, but maybe just take a small break to gather your thoughts, write them down, and then record again. More interaction would also be cool. But I understand that you can’t reply to every comment and wouldn’t want someone to feel they’re being ignored. But I think people will appreciate the effort. That’s all I have for now, hope it helps!

2024-10-10 16:54:43 +0000 UTCHello Dasha. I love your reactions but I've seen many people point out that your edits seems rushed and not long enough. My questions would be, can you not afford to hire a editor by chance? somebody who can put their time into making your YouTube edits as best they can be? If not, Baldamort pointed out, if it means doing one less video a week to give yourself more time to edit the quality you want. I dont think anybody would be apposed to that! I love your reactions, I been apart them for a long time on youtube. I know people are being critical a lot recently but I think its only because we love what you do and want to see you be your best. Youtube views aside. Keep being awesome

2024-10-10 16:54:09 +0000 UTCFirst I would like to apologise if I come off as hostile. Yeah I'm an idiot sometimes. Next I would like to throw the idea in for having public social media. Like a Instagram for your channel. Or a tik tok where you can throw in small clips from reactions. I would also suggest interacting with your YouTube commenter's more. Maybe if sombody says something you like. Give that comment a heart. Sort of stuff to know that people watching your videos feel like they are seen and their time dedicated to commenting is appreciated.

2024-10-10 16:44:52 +0000 UTCalso I would like to put out an idea. Once you reach 100k subscribers, would you be down to doing a Q&A? What sort of content would you be open to trying? I have also suggested maybe doing a second youtube for your TV show reactions. I think it would do wonders to diversify a bit. You are doing game of thrones now, soon youll be doing The Last of Us and Peaky Blinders. These are all shows that would do great On youtube. Maybe even a gaming channel since you seem to mention that you have played games? Just spitballing.

2024-10-10 16:44:11 +0000 UTCMy opinions are my own and probably do not reflect the community so you take it with a grain of salt: 1: Maybe more interaction with Patreons, more answers in the chats. Knowing that what we write reaches you; 2: As many suggested, it's not always a best idea to read IMDB prior ro watching a movie. My interest in watching the "From Dusk til Dawn" reduced dramatically when I knew you would not get the surprise of it being a vampire movie. Most of us have watched the movie, and seeing a blind reaction is what is interesting; 3: Maybe do some live events either on YT or Twitch to interact with us and maybe take special demands on there; 4: Having a public X, IG, TikTok account always helps reach new followers; 5: TBR Schmitt makes a monthly draw from the suggestions they receive, that may be interesting to you; 6: Maybe you could search on other reaction channels what movies they do that get the most views. It could help understanding what is trending up; 7: As far as film suggestions, it's pretty hard to say for anyone as we do not have the same tastes. I mean some people would cricify me for hating Rosemary's Baby, Blade Runner or The Departed. Some poll winning movies are baffling to me. So it's pretty hard to tell. I would say Stay safe with either cult classics or commercially successful movies and get more exploration with special demands. That's pretty much what I think off the top of my head. Maybe I'll think of something else later.

2024-10-10 16:38:09 +0000 UTCHugo's beautiful! I've been following you on YouTube for awhile, and am pretty happy with that content. I joined Patreon for your take on Band of Brothers, and to give that show another look. I find that women and people from outside the US notice different things than I do, and often have different opinions, and so that is worth some time. Overall I typically like YouTube reactions better than full-length reactions simply because they're quicker.

2024-10-10 16:37:39 +0000 UTCI would like a little more commentary after the movie on your thoughts and favorite/least parts. Maybe a review out of 5 or 10 stars. The endings always seem short. Other than that I like the content.

2024-10-10 16:36:21 +0000 UTCI guess since I am openly communicative about some of the things. I guess what I will say is. You make a point that you have to look at IMDB for the categories of movies for polls. I think its just the looking at summaries and the cast list that can give away certain spoiler aspecs. -As far as enjoyment, I honeslty have no complaints about your reactions themselves. I think you stand above a lot of reactors out there for how empathetic you are. Some of the best I've seen has come from you. I do have a question for you. Do you feel like you have no time to do 4 reactions a week. 3 movies plus one episdoe of a show? I ask becasue I would be all for you doing one less reaction a week if it means you can have more time to put into editing or taking care of things in your perosnal life. I have seen some people point out and even myself revently that occatinally it seems your edits feels rushed a bit. Like you don't have enough time to actually sit down to put more time into your youtube edit. Just a curious thought is all. Over all other than some of these little minor things like IMDB and such, your reactions are above the rest.

2024-10-10 16:34:58 +0000 UTCHugo is so tiny. I think you're doing fine. I like the thumbnails. Also your reactions Re most genuine than others. I'm not sure what else can be improved on.
