Comments

Omg I missed it !

Dasha

Like this idea !! Will let my editor know

Dasha

O good idea !! Thanks guys for suggesting

Dasha

or the mid-roll ad for patreon exclusives like she used to.

You do need to put BSG on Youtube. I came back to you here on Patreon because I just popped in here to check up on what you were watching. When I saw you starting to react to BSG, I immediately subscribed to you again on Patreon. I'm sure a lot of Youtube watchers that are BSG fans would love to watch BSG with you

Hok'Tar

Yea, it shows. I like the dialogue when the planes land.

3dbadboy1

Yep, edit the 2 part miniseries reaction into a single youtube reaction, give them a taste, then let them know where they can see the full series reactions. I don't know if any other reactors have watched this one.

Jimmy H

I loved this! Yes yes more more!

JokesterHollywood

I second this. I think there is some untapped potential for your TV shows. I think even if you dont put them on youtune. You should try to better promote your patron and the show you are currently watching in your intro to your movies. So far all you have is a quick little clip in the middle of your videos that most people don't see. I think you should promote your patreon in your intro with thr show you are currently watching if anything.

Dasha, I don't know the ins-n-outs of Patreon and Youtube, but would it be possible for you to put this mini-series on Youtube. Your tv shows are exclusive to Patreon. There might be some BSG fans who would come over to watch the series. I don't know if you would be comfortable with that. Just a suggestion from a fan.

Jimmy H

The word "frack" is a creative funny way to say "Fuck" that could be said on television without it being censored lol.

SR2 Prod.

A carrier in general uses multiple different types for surface contacts and also underwater. I never worked in CIC directly with them. This show had a few prior navy guys who helped make sure to be as true to life with the terminology, verbiage used, command structure. A whole lot.

Thats MR. Baldamort

Out of curiosity, instead of a DRADIS Board, what does a Navy carrier have? I'm sure it's similar.

3dbadboy1

A little easter egg you missed Dasha At the beginning of the show, in the scene where Laura Roslin is talking to her doctor, the camera pans up to look at 3 different ships flying overhead. The third ship you would recognize as the Serenity, Malcom Reynolds ship from Firefly!

Jimmy H

A couple things. The new president was told something you didnt catch early in the episode. She was told she had cancer right before the nukes fell. So not only does she have to lead now, she also has to battle with cancer. 2nd. I served in the Navy, and this show is pretty accurate as far as how, life and terminology and even drama can ensue on a ship. The battlestar Galactica operates much like a Navy aircraft carrier. Its almost true to life other than it being a sci fi. This is very much grounded in reality. Morals and the human limit are tested in this series. You will question moral choices A LOT. Glad you loved your first blind date, now lets turn this show into a relationship.

Thats MR. Baldamort

This is going to be a fun series. Really looking forward to it!

Thomas

I'm so glad you're enjoying your blind date! No one was really sure what to expect when this aired back then, and a lot of the fans of the original 70's show were upset that it was even being made, but most of them came around after the miniseries aired. I got to see an advanced screening copy that had unfinished visual effects, and even then I knew it was something really special. Just a warning, it is going to be a VERY emotional show, so bring tissues. The premise of the show is a study of what happens to people when pushed to their limits, so the "good" characters and "bad" characters may change as the pressures on them change. It's a lot like Game of Thrones in that way. To answer your question about Tricia Helfer's character Number Six, fans were really nuts over the tall leggy blonde, but the actress recalled one time when she was in a drugstore and a fan recognized her and got kinda scared. Don't know if you noticed, but the names of the Twelve Colonies are from the zodiac star signs, Caprica for Capricorn, Virgon for Virgo, etc. Mythology and religion have a large role in the series, which put some people off, but the original 70's version played with those ideas too. It'll all make sense later.

No worries Dasha, you have been so consistent with content for like EVER so im sure people can understand if things are not always going to be 100% on time, you and your editor are only human. Also YEP this is the correct show. Excited cant even describe what I feel that i get the excuse to watch this show again through the eyes of somebody new to it! So the reason there is a "mini series" before episode 1 is the sutdio wasnt sure how well the show would perform. Well turns out people LOVED it and its ratings at the time were the best of any sci fi show to release since star trek. So they made it into a full 4 season show. This show got the treatment we wish "firefily" tv show would of gotten xD PS: This show is a remake of the 70s original battlestar galactica. Which isnt required viewing but understand that this show had a fan base before this remake and it paid off, so if this remake didnt do well, it would of been apparent.

Thats MR. Baldamort

Yep this is the one you needed first. An armistice ... is a cease fire of sorts. It's not really a peace treaty, but rather a cessation of hostilities. "In the clear" means it was sent un-encrypted. Normally military communications would be encrypted. As an FYI, their version of the expletive F*** is Frack, sometimes spelled Frak and in the original series often accompanied by felgercarb.
