Last week's winner will be watched over the weekend.

Remember, you can vote for more than 1 movie, and don't worry if the movie you voted for doesn't win! because don't forget, I do 3 movies a week ;)

Good question, MRB! I just watched Twisters last night. It wasn't bad, but the original was better IMO. The original was a fun-but kind of silly-popcorn flick. I remember watching a Late Night talk show as a kid when it came out, and they had a real tornado expert on to discuss the movie Twister. I remember them saying that real tornados are FAR worse than they show in the movie. As an adult, that's kind of common sense. But as a kid, I remember being awed by that.

Michael@GetFitwithDogs

So seeing that twisters came in second does that mean Dasha will still react to the first one too? (since she normally watches first and 2nd place winners)

Thats MR. Baldamort

Nope, I live in OKC where tornado movies get filmed, never saw one, but i've been in one in my cellar. It was an F5, but was weak when it got to us. So just a bunch of trees pulled over, and shingles missing

puppers

watch Twister first for sure. Not many of these movies are good.

As much as I like the mcu, please don't watch quantumanium

Baldamort, you're about a 5 hour drive from me. I'm just outside of Saint Louis, to the West a bit. I've made the drive to Des Moines and Bettendorf a few times for wrestling. The sport of wrestling, not the WWE stuff. I'm not sure if it's because where I am we are along the edge of the Ozark Mountains (they're not mountains, they are just big rolling hills) but the tornadoes don't touch down as much out here. It's not as flat.

I live in tornado Ally, in the Midwest. I see tornadoes every year. This last spring we had an outbreak. Several, about 20 or so touched down all within the same day in my area. I like to go outside and watch them if they are in the distance instead of hide in the basement. Its a Midwestern thing lol. Some of my colleagues go storm chasing too that time of year. I love storms and tornadoes. At least in my spot, 90% of them land in farm fields and dont really destroy many houses. I live 20 miles away from where they filmed the original Twister movie in Iowa. Also if you have seen "Field of Dreams" I also live not far from where they filmed that movie too .

I live in Indiana and we get more than our share of them. Yeah, until you actually see one, you can't really imagine how scary nature can be. I had one take down a huge pine tree in my front yard, but the house itself was fine except for having the gutters blown off. You can't imagine how loud they can be, either. I grabbed my turtle Eastman and my little bunny rabbit Wilson and we waited it out in the basement next to the canned goods...πŸ˜‰

Has anyone here ever seen a tornado before, irl? I live not too far outside of "Tornado Alley" - a region where tornados tend to be prolific - but I have never actually seen one. They've touched down within miles of where I was several times, but I have still never witnessed one. I was in our big office building one day when there was a tornado warning, and I went to the windows to look in the direction of where the tornado was spotted, and I STILL couldn't see it. So long as I wasn't in the direct path, I think it would be wild to see one.

Michael@GetFitwithDogs

In that case, I will now vote for twisters!

JokesterHollywood

Awesome! Hell yeah!

Thats MR. Baldamort

Awesome πŸ’–.

Lee Pitman

Yes. That's the problem with modern movies. Their stories are not nearly as strong overall compared to prior decades. It's a big problem in Hollywood. We still get the occasional gem, but for the most part it has been disappointment after disappointment.

Michael@GetFitwithDogs

I take it back. I did see Inside Out 2.

Michael@GetFitwithDogs

Hey :) I didnt include Oppenheimer because I plan to watch it regardless of the poll results :) Thanks for letting me know Twisters is a sequel, I didnt know that :) If Twisters win, then I watch both

Dasha

I don't really have a pick with this list. I haven't seen a single one of these. This is one of those polls where I am like, "Just tell me your favorite choice Dasha and I will vote for that one."

Michael@GetFitwithDogs

Frick, i would too but it would be difficult, that movie makes trash look like diamonds πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Thats MR. Baldamort

Dasha, this is how great I think you are: I will watch your reaction even if it is to Madame Web...πŸ˜‰

Troy Hickman

I didn't like most of these films. Though, I think much like some here have said, Oppenhimer is a must watch, and that would of been my vote if it were here on the poll. Such a amazing iconic film with lots of iconic actors, Dasha would love it. Also yeah, twisters is sequal to Twister from the 90s. Worth it to see it!

Jim

Most of these suck πŸ˜…

Thomas Richter

"Twisrers 2024" is a sequal Dasha. You need to react to the original "twister" from 1996 first.

CaptainPlanet

Another modern movies poll and no Oppenheimer? Dang, Another missed opportunity lol. Though I thought I saw Dasha say she would react to it before the end of the year? Maybe she can clarify πŸ€”

JokesterHollywood

Yup! Dasha needs to watch the original "Twister" first. Of twisters 2024 wins, Dasha NEEDS to watch the 1996 twister movie first! Write it in your notes dasha!

Thats MR. Baldamort

Dasha, Twisters (2024) is the sequel to Twister (1996). You should check out Twister first.
