2024-11-30 01:07:28 +0000 UTCWell, I agree, you're right. Big Trouble is not as good as Goldeneye, or Die Hard

2024-11-30 01:06:57 +0000 UTCYeah, if she enjoys it, I want her to stick with it too. Makes for a better reaction. If she misses GoT, it will be stronger reaction when she gets back to it. 2 episodes a week would be good. But I remember she said it's hard for her to do that.
puppers
2024-11-30 00:55:57 +0000 UTCI wish she could do more than one episode a week for this reaason but she is in for a hell of a ride. She is loving it a lot so far so at least that is good. EIther way, if battlestar didnt win then sopranos would of won which has even longer seasons than battlestar and more seasons. Personally as much i love battlestar, when she does return to game of thrones I think she should finish the show since each season going forward has consecutively less episodes per seasaon. Season 8 only has 6 episodes for example.

2024-11-30 00:18:43 +0000 UTCIronically, just after I posted the above stuff, I watched a reaction to the movie Caddyshack, and the reactor did not get it at all. But since this reactor is probably in my top 10, I'm not going to let it bother me too much. Now if it were Mr Smith Goes to Washington or Army of Darkness, there might be trouble...😉
Troy Hickman
2024-11-29 23:49:38 +0000 UTCdang, I was hoping Goldeneye would win, it's better than Big Trouble in Little China. btw, watching a season of Battlestar Galactica is like watching 3 seasons of Game of Thrones lol. Mini-series and 20 45 minute episodes.

2024-11-29 22:22:15 +0000 UTCOne of the users here, its not big deal lol. Hes blocked and unlocked me many times for unknown reasons. I just think its funny. He must have you blocked too if you dont see him here on this very poll coments section where he suggested all the James bond movies i mentioned lol. I too would love for Dasha to watch all the James bond movies but I just dont think its something she would commit to.

2024-11-29 22:17:23 +0000 UTCWho is Lee Pitman?
Michael@GetFitwithDogs
2024-11-29 22:12:47 +0000 UTCMerlin: "Now look, I once stood exposed to the Dragon's Breath so that a man could lie one night with a woman. It took me nine moons to recover. And all for this lunacy called, "love", this mad distemper that strikes down both beggar and king. Never again." That movie has some nice cameos, among them a young Liam Neeson and a young Patrick Stewart. Did that guy ever have hair?!
Michael@GetFitwithDogs
2024-11-29 22:11:42 +0000 UTCBy the way, I will again suggest the movie Excalibur, which I dearly love.
Troy Hickman
2024-11-29 21:58:34 +0000 UTCSome folks say it also helps if you look at it from the point of view of Kurt Russell not being the lead, but rather the sidekick. But make no mistake, Kurt Russell's Jack Burton character really makes the movie. He plays it with sort of a John Wayne imitation, much like he imitated Clint Eastwood in Escape From New York, and his little sayings and bravado are the kind of things you will end up quoting a lot.
Troy Hickman
2024-11-29 21:57:19 +0000 UTC@MR. B I don't really know how to explain it. It's not "comedic" in the sense that they're not making jokes. It's just what happens is WILD and the characters in the movie respond to everything in a larger than life non-serious way. Maybe the best comparison that I can come up with is how Peter Venkman (Bill Murray) responds to everything in the Ghostbusters movie. In Ghostbusters some wild shit happens, but Venkman is just Venkman. He responds with silly wisecracks and odd behavior even when facing ghosts, monsters, and a interdimensional demigod. That's kind of how the characters in this movie behave in response to what they encounter.
Michael@GetFitwithDogs
2024-11-29 21:57:04 +0000 UTCSo it's comedic, silly and crazy but with serious understone is my understanding? Either way looking forward to it if it wins
Thats MR. Baldamort
2024-11-29 21:46:07 +0000 UTC@MR. B It is one of those movies where the writers, the director, and the actors just had fun with it and didn't take it seriously, but within the story itself it is taken seriously. It's as if those of us on the outside know it's non-serious, but within the movie itself it takes itself seriously. No matter how wild and crazy it gets, the characters keep rolling along as if it is natural to be doing so. No spoilers, just know it is a wild ride full of fun and laughs despite not being a comedy. Okay, dang it, I'm changing my vote now. LOL!

2024-11-29 21:08:06 +0000 UTCUn sacré dilemme pour le sondage de cette semaine, mais comme le dit Jack Burton ( en version française)" tout est dans le reflex" ;)

2024-11-29 20:57:13 +0000 UTCDang it, Lee Pitman blocked me, not sure what his deal is. I liked his James bond list and somebody recommending how popcorn in bed watched James bond. oh well. 🫤
Thats MR. Baldamort
2024-11-29 19:55:58 +0000 UTCI would love to watch her do Bond movies, starting with the Sean Connery movies. I thought Dr. No was totally cool, but based on reactions I've seen to it, I think we might be better off "cheating" and letting her start with Goldfinger. That would have a better chance of selling her on the series. Popcorn in Bed did an interesting thing where they let people vote on two movies from each actor. They ended up with From Russia With Love, Goldfinger, Live and Let Die, and The Spy Who Loved Me for all the Connery/Moore movies. I would definitely take that over a couple reactors who have tried Dr. No, which really isn't typical even for a which really isn't typical even for a Sean Connery movie, and then stopped.
Analytical Guy
2024-11-29 17:32:40 +0000 UTCWell, it's really a no lose situation. We know that whatever she reacts to, we're going to enjoy it. But I know what you mean. There have been some reactors that I literally have stopped watching because they had a bad reaction to a film that I really like. I would never stop watching any of my favorite reactors for that reason, and certainly never Dasha, but there have been a few lesser reactors that have just left such a bad taste in my mouth that I didn't really feel like watching their content anymore (and if a reactor does leave a bad taste in your mouth, I would suggest giving up cannibalism...).
Troy Hickman
2024-11-29 17:18:13 +0000 UTCYou're doing a good job making the case for Big Trouble, and you're tempting me to change my vote. I agree, she's very insightful. Maybe she will appreciate the movie. I will think about your argument some more and maybe I will change my vote.
Michael@GetFitwithDogs
2024-11-29 17:12:05 +0000 UTCSo many good choices. I would say watch these four. Cliffhanger, Diehard die with a vengeance, Big Trouble in Little China, and Point Break.
Patrick Anderson
2024-11-29 16:52:46 +0000 UTCMichael, I really love bBg Trouble in Little China, and because of that I have watched a ton of reactions for it. And you are absolutely right. The problem seems to be that so many folks just don't really get it. They want it to be easily put into a genre or follow a particular plot line the way other movies they have seen do it. But that's not what this movie is. However, i am voting for it here because I believe that Dasha will most definitely get it. One of the reasons I'm such a fan is because she's as sharp has a tack, and there have been numerous times when she has appreciated movies about which other people just scratch their heads (and she does so in a second language, which boggles me). I'm curious to get her take on this one.
Troy Hickman
2024-11-29 16:28:23 +0000 UTCOh BTW. Dasha we know you love court case/ investigative type movies. There is a tom cruise film BASED ON A TRUE STORY Court Case called "A Few Good Men" (1992) You will absolutely be blown away by this movie. Remember the movie "My Cousin Vinny"? Well this movie is like that movie but multiply it by like x5 intensity. Im willing to bet it will be one of a new favorite of yours to watch for the channel.
Thats MR. Baldamort
2024-11-29 15:40:20 +0000 UTCHey Dasha, loved you and your sister in your last reaction together. Looking forward to what comes next with you two! The "Gremlins" Christmas movie has been suggested for you two to watch together. I think it would be fun!

2024-11-29 15:30:32 +0000 UTCSadly I think this is way to much to ask for, and while I do agree with you, I just know its to much of a commitment for this channel so I pass on voting for it entirely.

2024-11-29 15:25:33 +0000 UTCMy GAWD, DASHA!!!! Every movie on this list is in MY category of “I can watch this film 1000 times and still enjoy it”!!! I want to watch you watch EVERY SINGLE ONE!! The first five are just GIGANTIC piles of awesomeness. I don’t see hardly anyone reacting to the long kiss good night so that might be MY personal top of the list……
David Bennett
2024-11-29 15:18:01 +0000 UTCEverything on this poll is great, but I'm going to vote for The Long Kiss Goodnight for more people to see it hopefully.

2024-11-29 15:12:08 +0000 UTCIs anyone else in a food coma this morning from all of the food last night? So, about Big Trouble in Little China... What I am going to say might be a little bit controversial. I love that movie, but I am not going to vote for it. The reason for this is that I've seen too many people react to Big Trouble and end up being completely underwhelmed by it. While I really like the movie, I've learned that it's not for everyone. Therefore, I picked a few other movies that are more in line with what Dasha has enjoyed on this channel previously. Who knows, maybe Dasha will be one of the people who truly appreciates Big Trouble in Little China. If it wins I will definitely be watching. Let the games begin!

2024-11-29 14:21:00 +0000 UTCGoldenEye (1995) is part of the James Bond 007 series. It would be best (in my opinion) if you watched them in release order: 1. Dr. No (1962) 2. From Russia with Love (1963) 3. Goldfinger (1964) 4. Thunderball (1965) 5. You Only Live Twice (1967) 6. On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969) 7. Diamonds Are Forever (1971) 8. Live and Let Die (1973) 9. The Man with the Golden Gun (1974) 10. The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) 11. Moonraker (1979) 12. For Your Eyes Only (1981) 13. Octopussy (1983) 14. A View to a Kill (1985) 15. The Living Daylights (1987) 16. Licence to Kill (1989) 17. GoldenEye (1995) 18. Tomorrow Never Dies (1997) 19. The World Is Not Enough (1999) 20. Die Another Day (2002) 21. Casino Royale (2006 Reboot) 22. Quantum of Solace (2008) 23. Skyfall (2012) 24. Spectre (2015) 25. No Time to Die (2021)
