Yeah, I think it's the editing that keeps more people from doing various kinds of YouTube content. I've thought about it, and I probably understand the process enough to do the most rudimentary kind of videos, but they wouldn't be very fancy at all. I think if you can afford to have someone else edit them, that's probably the way to go, but when you're first starting out, most folks could not justify paying a separate editor. I used to do an audio podcast for a while, and just the editing for that was a large part of the effort.

My dad and I have this knack for never shutting up while watching movies, even in the movie thestre, we have said some stuff that has made the entire theatre laugh, and now that I watch reaction content, it all makes sense why I enjoy it so much. I have thought to myself "should I do reaction videos" then I remember that I don't want to subject myself to all that tedious editing and copyright. So I'll just continue to laugh and talk with my dad when watching movies 😂

That is to say, if you were to watch something right now and not do a reaction to it, would you still find yourself talking aloud, because you've gotten used to it?
