Movie Poll: Scary Christmas
Added 2024-12-13 14:00:15 +0000 UTCLets do one more poll with Horror! Christmas movies. I had a hard time finding this type of movies, so please comment below for the good ones!
Last week's winner will be watched over the weekend.
Remember, you can vote for more than 1 movie, and don't worry if the movie you voted for doesn't win! because don't forget, I do 3 movies a week ;)

2024-12-14 07:42:51 +0000 UTCActually, I like the 2006 version quite a bit myself, just not as much as the original. But by no means should anyone, unless they are a war criminal, be forced to watch the 2019 version. 🤮

2024-12-14 03:16:10 +0000 UTCAww. I liked the 2006 remake of Black Christmas with Michelle Trachtenberg and Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

2024-12-13 23:26:22 +0000 UTCI absolutely second that one. It's one of my favorite movies and definitely my favorite of the Zucker Abrams movies. It's a new level of wackiness.

2024-12-13 22:40:32 +0000 UTCUnrelated to this poll, I’d like to recommend the movie Top Secret! It’s another Zucker Brothers movie, directors of Naked Gun, and Airplane!

2024-12-13 22:31:09 +0000 UTCI honestly haven't heard of some of these 😅 I would say Silent Night, Deadly Night is definitely a horror Christmas classic. So that's another one you might want to think about . And the sequel is known for a famous line which has become a meme.

2024-12-13 20:21:50 +0000 UTCWhy are people voting for both Krampus listings?
Tony Rossell
2024-12-13 19:13:46 +0000 UTCReindeer Games gets some hate, but I think it's fun.

2024-12-13 19:12:36 +0000 UTCShe said in the blurb on the last poll that she's going to do Gremlins because a lot of us asked for it.
Tony Rossell
2024-12-13 19:10:14 +0000 UTCIt's not on the list, but you need to watch the 2 Gremlins movies, not this garbage

2024-12-13 18:58:18 +0000 UTCI liked it because it reminded me of a paper mache project I made in grade school...😉

2024-12-13 17:06:42 +0000 UTCI voted for Krampus because of all of them up there that I've seen, it had the feel of Christmas the most. It was all about Christmas itself, the lore, the Holiday, etc... but in reverse. It is the dark side to the light. Hope turns to despair. Wonder turns into terror. The movie did a lot of things right, and it is one of those movies I watch after Halloween but before Christmas, every year. However... [Super MINOR SPOILERS here - read no further if you don't want even the tiniest possible spoiler] . . . I thought Krampus himself was a let down. The design was so stiff and unmoving that it took away from the realism and the immersion. That frozen mask just fell flat for me. If it had a little CGI (or even better, great practical effects) then this movie might have become the best Christmas Horror movie ever, IMO. Still, it's good. That part was a let down to me. To those that have seen it, what do you think?

2024-12-13 16:33:26 +0000 UTCBy the way, Dasha, if you do Krampus, make sure you get the right one (the one with Adam Scott), because you cannot trade mark the name, and there have probably been two dozen different movies just called Krampus, and most of them would be like getting coal in your stocking this Christmas...😉

2024-12-13 15:19:29 +0000 UTCIt almost makes more sense to do Silent Night Deadly Night 2, as it incorporates about half of the first one, but then also adds the wonderful second half, where Eric Freeman gives a tour de force performance, including the iconic "Garbage Day!" (I say that line every Tuesday night when I take out my trash) 😉

2024-12-13 15:14:57 +0000 UTCMy vote is for the original 1974 Black Christmas (and NOT the remakes). Part of the brilliance of Bob Clark as a director is that he was able to make one of the sweetest Christmas movies ever (A Christmas Story), and also one of the darkest Christmas movies ever (Black Christmas). In fact, I usually recommend watching them back to back as a double feature! 😉
Troy Hickman
2024-12-13 15:07:37 +0000 UTCSilent Night is good, and Season one of Happy is series that involves an evil psychotic Santa.
Patrick Anderson
2024-12-13 15:03:54 +0000 UTCWhile it's not scary as in horror, but I love Reindeer Games. It's more like a criminal suspense Christmas story.
Patrick Anderson
2024-12-13 15:02:23 +0000 UTCHope she replaces Silent Night Deadly Night.
Villa Lobos
2024-12-13 14:56:36 +0000 UTCViolent Night isn't scary. Think of it as John Wick at Christmas.

2024-12-13 14:29:54 +0000 UTCThe (2006) black Christmas
The Machine
2024-12-13 14:26:49 +0000 UTCYeah i too don't know many violent Christmas films. None that are actually worth watching only a couple stand out on this list. Also you have krampus on this list twice there lol.
JokesterHollywood
2024-12-13 14:11:14 +0000 UTCBtw Dasha, you have "Krampus" labeled twice in the poll.
Thats MR. Baldamort
2024-12-13 14:04:36 +0000 UTCA lot these movies are not good that are scary so instead ill vote for the better movies on this poll, and violent night is S tier level Christmas violence, Dasha would love it. "The mean one" is rated at barely a 3 of 10 on IMDB for example. Violent night is about a 7 so that is my vote.
Thats MR. Baldamort
